Halo 2 Anniversary Beliefs

I believe that Halo 2 Anniversary would be way more successful than Halo CEA. Halo 2 was such a success back in the day, and I don’t see why it wouldn’t now.

Now, I know I’m not the only one that is thinking of that scarab gun! xD

In my opinion, it would be essential to bring back Halo 2 for 343’s success. It would bring so much to their funds and help make the next few Halo games even better. But that also brings me to believe that they are so overwhelmed with the new trilogy that they will not have the time to start/finish this project.

With that being said, I’m hyped for Halo 4 and its successors, but if you come out to a convention, and say Halo 2 Anniversary is in the making, I will love you forever. (Not that I do already)

i think they might start working on it after halo 4 is finished and put a small team on halo 4 dlc then the rest poping out a halo 2 anni for 2014 release

Was it not already rumoured to be in development? If so, then they’ve probably already got a team working on it, along with Halo 4 DLC and probably Halo 5 (since they announced a new Halo trilogy at E3).

I think they mention they don’t have the time for it right now. I think they just hinted that they are planning to do it.

Yes i totally agree but the only flaw is people mostly loved halo 2 for multiplayer which means they would want a multiplayer remake but the thing is 343 doesn’t want their own game(halo 4/halo 5) to de-populate and that means they wouldn’t want to remake a game for someone elses no their multiplayer.

But who knows it might be different, 343 has shown us they care about the community this would be a perfect idea to make everyone think they are a great studio and believe in them more.

It’s all gonna be shown e3 2013
we just have to wish hopefully it will come true
don’t let us down 343i

p.s I didn’t ever play halo 2 multiplayer because I didn’t have xbl then but I played the hell out of campaign for 3 years nearly every week on legendary and then when halo 3 came I stopped playing it but now i’m playing it again since 2009! I loved halo 2’s campaign so much!!!

I think there were a lot more CMP lovers than you give credit for, it seemed about equal to me but I’m not sure. Imo if H2A is made it will not depopulate anything. Once on Live H2A is a choice, just like any other Live game. If you play H4 for a while and then switch to H2 for a while, there’s no depopulation, that same person will be back playing H4 later. Not only that but there’s a lot of old H2 players out there that don’t even play Live anymore, if H2A comes out there may be a forgotten fanbase out there that is suddenly joining Live again just to play the old H2 MP for 3 months. I think MS should go fishing for them by leaving MP the way it was as much as possible.

Well, in reply to all of you. I hope that it does happen. I was gladly apart of the Halo 2 multiplayer community. It was fantastic. Halo 2 would be like a fundraiser for them. I would definitely put a team on a remake. Hopefully 343 will hear us out and get it done. We can all hope for the best. If they do follow through with it, there’s not a doubt in my mind that it will be AMAZING!

So, 343, work on a remake and make us damn proud to have you take control of the series.

Halo 2 was the best Halo game campaign-wise IMO, I would LOVE to see my very first Halo game that I’d ever played in HD graphics, as long as they don’t mess with the Elite’s character models… I liked how they were slim and lean but powerful back then, not the huge masses they are today.

I’ll be honest, I’d rather they focus on a spin-off or something. Halo 2 was awesome, but there’s too much potential in the rest of the universe to keep remaking old games.

Halo 2 Anniversary only makes sense because it is the last Halo game to be on the original Xbox. It deserves to be brought up to date. After Halo 2 Anniversary they should stop remaking them.

fixed.

A Halo 2 remake would be so epic in so many levels. The multiplayer… insane.

I never got to play Halo 2 MP as I was too young then. But, dang, from what I hear from everyone who did play it it sounds so much cooler than what Halo MP is now!

I don’t see why they wouldn’t release Halo 2A. Halo 2 was great and successful. Same with CEA. I just hope they keep the AI system so I can do AI collections, megabattles, etc on 2A. I also hope they keep Tartarus’s appearance pretty much the same but with better graphics. I also hope they keep the scarab gun.

I hope the MP is it’s own thing, not just a map pack for halo 4.

I want to play H2 on XBL again but in HD! I miss the superjumps and other fun glitches.

They should make the scarab gun like the skulls so when you find it you can turn it on for all the other levels.

I agree completely. It would be so nice to have all of the old trilogy on 360 with Achievements and Terminals and all.

Now, now, now, if they remake halo 2 anniversary, people would get off of halo 4, they will get $2 billion dollars in revenue (shattering call of duty records), and have trouble getting people to play different products bc halo 2 was flawless. I know this bc i would be still playing halo 2 if they hadn’t jip us from down severs, ten years later…
