Halo 2 Anniversary art style

After seeing the general art style for Halo: Infinite I was a little bit let down not by the graphical quality as much, I knew that it was an early build, but by the overall tone and feel. The game’s art style felt too unrealistic. I know that you guys were trying to take a lot from Halo Combat Evolved but I do not think that people liked that game for the art style, I am sure that I and many others prefer the more realistic style of Halo 2 and 3. I think that Halo: Infinite should follow this same realistic style, like Halo 2: anniversary, but even more so. Use that new power to give us something super realistic and gritty. Not bright and colourful. I was hoping for the flood to have a lot of horror elements to them like they did in the earlier games but this art style is not fit for a scarier tone. I always think that Halo should be a very gritty and real looking game. Warfare is tough, a parasite would be really scary and gross looking. The graphics should reflect that more. I also think that the animations for the grunt flying are a little out there. Just my thoughts on what Halo is to me and what I would prefer to see in Halo: Infinite.

Yes, it definitely seems too much like a certain popular BR. But not TOO gritty, as that would make it feel like a horror game in general, and that’s not what Halo is.

Agreed. Grit is what this needs for sure. This is what I’ve been saying since the reveal. It’s a step in the right direction, but gimme some grit and grime. I wanna see pools of blood when I mow down aliens. That’s what is done in Halo, remember? It’s a war game? Why does it need to be rated T and dumbed down. Just my thoughts.
Also wanna say, I am glad for alot of changes made and am not bashing this game. Game play will infinitely trump visuals. (No pun intended)

Sure, make it like 2 and 3, but don’t make it SO gritty it’s basically COD or BF
