Cmon 343 lets get every Halo title onto a next gen console… remake Halo 2 after Halo 4’s release as a little something to tide us over the 3 year development cycles
Wow… are you serious? Don’t expect 343i to remake the whole trilogy, CE was just something special to celebrate the birth of the Halo franchise.

If you think MS did CEA just because they love the fans and it is somehow more special in all respects than H2, you are mistaken. No, they did it to make money, nothing else and that’s exactly what they are doing. If they make a lot of money on CEA then H2A will be remade imo. Besides, H2 carries it’s own weight that CE could not match and that was online Live. It would make perfect sense that MS (343) would make a 10 year anniversary to commemorate Live and the game that made Live take off like a rocket. It will be a money maker and it would stop the legitimate griping of people saying H2 is the only Halo game not on Live.
Yeah, it makes perfect business sense and that is what MS is all about, business.
Right, and im not saying to remake Halo 3. HCE and H2 were the only Halo titles not on the 360 so it would make sense that they would remake both.
yea i agree they should remake it maybe not until around halo 5 release though it’s still got 3 more years till 10 years i think a good majority of people are with me though when i say i’d give up hope for an anniversary if we could just have multiplayer back on xbox live but it will never comeback sadly halo 2 was my first halo i had some good memories i’m excited about CEA and if they made a halo 2 anniversary i’d buy it up before i could even think about it
I personally do not want to see a remake of Halo 2 tbh. I love how they are remaking the original Halo that started it all. It looks awesome and near perfect, but if they do Halo 2, then people are going to ask for Halo 3, then Halo: Reach, and so on until the series gets milked beyond belief.
One remake is all we need. Move forward. I want 343i to work on new experiences for the Halo universe, not use their time to repeat it.
Halo 2 doesn’t need to be remade. I loved every second of the hundreds of hours I spent playing it local and online. I wouldn’t be able to beat some of those memories

Some see remaking Halo 2 as moving forward because that would put all halo’s on Live. Besides, it’s not as if 343 has only one team.
Almost all the people I know from when Halo 2 was released bought a 360 just to play Halo 2. CE did not do that so I see an anniversary for the 10 years of Live and 10 years of H2 as being as important as CE, just in a different way.

So what are all of you going to do when the next Xbox comes out and a few years after that, they shut that service down? Remake them again and again?
Things die over time. All gamers have to deal with this on their favorite game. Accept it. Get over it. Move on.

CE didn’t die did it. There’s rational reasons why Halo 2 should be put back on Live. It’s really obnoxious when you use ‘accept it, get over it and move on’ when those phrases actually have no meaning whatsoever.
Here’s another way of saying the same thing; Halo 2 will be remade, accept it, get over it, move on. I doubt that you will take that any better than I did.

Does anyone else think I should tell this guy that 343i have given strong hints that they won’t remake another Halo in the GameInformer interview, or should I just leave him with his hopes.
…I’ll leave him with his hopes.
Yeah, you’re right, o A R 3 Z o.
No, because then everyone will expect a remake of every Halo game.

Like I said, no need to be obnoxious.
Actually, I’ve seen quotes from 343 employees that said the remake of H2 is a possibility. Not probably but the possibility is out there.
If you think talking down to someone shows your intelligence, it does but not in the way you imagine.
MS made a lot of money off the launch of H2 and the 360. It makes sense that they would milk the 10 year anniversary, they are not stupid. Milking is the way of business, only a stupid (and broke) person would not sell a product because somebody may call them milkers. In this case milking is a good thing in my opinion.

Well then you just called 98% of the gaming business stupid, because 98% of the gaming business doesn’t do that. Halo 2 Anniversary won’t happen, say what you want and do what you want, but I am right, I promise you that. And judging by this thread, most people would agree.
IF Halo 2 were to get an “Anniversary Treatment”, the only thing I would want to see in that is a working online component of the post TU Halo 2 mp. That’s it. They remade the campaign from CE to celebrate the birth of Halo. The only thing they really have to celebrate with Halo 2 is the fact that it was the first Halo to be on XBoxLive, and it was the most successful Halo online in terms of population.
Anything more than an online component of the original mp would be bull crap.

98% eh, did you pull that out of your butt? Are you a Swami, privy to information that nobody else has access to? Don’t make promises you have no business making, you don’t know anymore than the next guy does about whether H2 will be remade.
You, without a doubt, know nothing about business within a corporation. You seem to make up reality as you go along and then try to ram it down our throats to make yourself seem right.
business is business you guys if people will buy it and a company realizes that then they will make it simple as that
so if Halo CE Anniversary is a success why would microsoft not make another one if it could make as much as CEA does?? especially since they have multiple reasonable excuses for halo 2 (ex no multiplayer, it started a multiplayer revolution, it’s not on the 360, it’s graphics are out of date)
I know I would buy it
especially since it irritates me that halo 2 is now the only halo game not on xbox live and the only reason i ever bought a 360 for halo 3 was because i played halo 2 if i hadn’t today i would still be a playstation fanboy (not that playstation is bad just making my point)

> One remake is all we need. Move forward. I want 343i to work on new experiences for the Halo universe, not use their time to repeat it.
Few things: First I’m almost dead Certain they will Not Remake Halo Reach, ODST, and Wars, at least Not for the Xbox 360, and who knows how long it’s life cycle is. Even the creators of all three systems state they don’t believe they have come close to tapping the systems maximum performance capabilities. It’s bad business to spend millions or more on a new console when the one currently out, can do the job.
For all I know the Xbox 360 will last till 2020. That may seem like a Long time, but trust me 9, more like 8, years is Not all that much.
Second: How would it be milking the series, to re-make Halo 2? And by the way here’s my opinion on remaking Halo 2…YES! because three words describe Halo 2 perfectly: “It Was AWESOME!!!”
Third: Why would they remake Halo 3? Revisit a game for a console when it exists already On this console? That just screams stupidity! Perhaps remake them All on the console that succeeds Xbox 360, but other than that, I say remake Halo 2, and then concentrate on keeping the series going.
I know people will buy it, and I’m one of them.
Fourth: I’d like to see other Halo Games: Like one that shows how John 117 became the Master Chief. A game that shows the fall of Harvest? We have Reach, and Halo Wars, touched Harvest but that’s all.
Oh and by the way…If there are any COD Lovers reading this…At least Halo follows a Story! Yes COD has to do with events that Really took place, but none of the games follow each other. So at least Halo does that
Just Halo 2. There isn’t a point to remaking the other games.
I’d love to see a remake but it probably wont happen. The main reason it’s unlikely is because 343i wanted to make this as a way to say “Hey look at this game, 10 years ago we played this and now we can re live our memories and make new ones for those who haven’t played.” Also Microsoft won’t let me them make it or help publish a second remake if the first didn’t go so well for those greedy SOB’s. If in some time they make a remake they should make the game a download from the market place and make it like the original but to unlock the new version beat the campaign, or they could just be awesome guys and turn on Halo 2 over live again but make it connected to the 360 so we can all be kids again and play on lockout and fight about who gets the sword first…
