So i am not entirely certain if this is some sort of glitch or bug but I played tirelessly and finally beat the halo two campaign on legendary alone so i could earn the most amount of achievements in the long run. Yet when i finally shot the crap out of tartarus and his body fell limp to the ground and the beautifully remastered HD cut scenes played, the achievements had yet to pop up. At first i figured it would at least take a little bit of time but they never showed. I should have earned several achievements after completing the halo 2 anniversary campaign. If anyone knows what is the issue and can help resolve it, i would be very appreciative. In the mean time i will wait patiently for twenty four hours hours to pass to see if they finally show and if not i will be posting more on this topic.
You are not alone on this one. Just beat the par times on the first and second levels, and nothing happened. At this point, I honestly fear the worse. That makes nine achievements locked at 100% and those two won’t even pop!

Unfortunately, many people are not able to unlock various achievements. It appears that it happens at random, as my friend and I have played multiple co-op campaign missions and he has received achievements that I did not and vice versa. This is an issue that 343 is well aware of and plan to update in the upcoming weeks.
