I think this would be pretty cool. Going back to the glory days of competitive halo bringing old teams back together to compete for a championship. thoughts?
I highly doubt MLG even brings Halo 2 back regardless of it being an upgraded one. They don’t go back to old games.

They go where the money and population is. Doesn’t matter how old the game is
I would love to see Halo 2 picked back up. I miss those days.
doesn’t necessarily need to be through MLG, could do something along the lines of a halo global championship. Im just sick of seeing COD as the only major competitive console game out there. Also sad seeing a lot of the old halo players jump ship because competitive halo died out.
Competitive Halo makes a return this November. I’m certain all the pros will come back. Halo CE had a competitive scene back in the day without online multiplayer. Imagine the result now that it WILL. Then there’s Halo 2… no need to explain. It’s freakin’ Halo 2. Not to mention Halo 3 was in the MLG scene for quite a while (HI THIS IS CHRIS PUCKETT).
Not sure which game MLG would gravitate to since all these titles will be being played simultaneously since they’re bundled. Hopefully 343i realizes where they need to take Halo 5’s multiplayer with this fantastic release.
MLG will go wherever the money is. If there is an outstanding response from the community that we want Halo back and have the games/viewing numbers to support it, then it would be strange for them not to use it due to it being “old”. It’s all about the community support.
I was thinking this too. Would be so awesome to see MLG bring Halo back on the main stage.
