Halo 2, 2A, 3, and Reach Invasion

I’ve been brainstorming ideas for an invasion like (Spartans vs Elites) mode for Halo 2, 2A, 3, and Reach with creating maps and (or) game types tailored to it. However, I would need some additional help and some constructive criticism to get these maps and game types fully realized. I will make making the maps in Halo 2A, 3, and Reach in scratch. If there’s any Invasion lovers out there that have time to want to help out, message me either on this forum or DM me on Xbox.

Definitely, if you want, you can even help out too with creating maps by giving your input on what I should or shouldn’t change. I’ve had the idea for classic Halo game invasion for a awhile now but since the MCC got a forge update back in 2020, I think it’s appropriate to do it now. I just need to learn scripting for Halo 2A. Wanted to make gates and elevators to make the maps more dynamic.

It would be neat if we could get forced species options for gamemodes in 2, 2A, and 3.

I’m generally opposed to forced species for halo 2 and 3, since it directly alters the core design of legacy customization and gameplay, as well as potentially opening the door to encouraging more disparaging attitudes between elite and spartan players.

I do think forced species would be fine if they were to add elites to CE and Halo 4 due to how those games were set up and how their functionality would be very similar to Reach.

In any case, invasion still works as a standard red vs blue mode, though might only work in Halo 4 and H2A anyways due to how it relied on the loadout system, which only those two games supported alongside Reach.

Well for custom game types it would be really great. Plus, the disparity between the Spartans and Elites isn’t too huge unless you’re playing H2, 2A. You could even tweak the stats for each team if you really want it to be akin to how Reach handled them. My design philosophy when going into making an invasion game type for Halo 2, 2A, and 3 is to have a “balanced” but fun battle of attrition in a large scale environment.

Yeah I guess only in very specific objective gamemodes, would be pretty lame if the option to have elites started getting turned off in people’s customs by default.
Just think teams of entirely elites vs Spartans in objective would be cool.
