Is Halo back? Wut?

No Halo game has ever received a 10/10 from a top reviewer before, this is either top bribery or perhaps this game is being extremely well received.

PELICAN FLYING! <3 343

Or… It’s Adam Kovic the biggest Halo fan on Machinima…

>top reviewer

No, not a top reviewer, Machinima’s just a popular YT channel.

The only reviewer that really matters to you should be you.

Honestly you just said every reviewer who isn’t part of a major company isn’t legit. The logic behind that confuses me…

Since IGN is a big company and it gave Halo 4 a 9.8 let’s just take that instead k guys?

EDIT: Good recovery there lol.

On IGN it got a 9.8/10. Halo Reach got 9.6/10 and Halo 3 got 9.5/10. This must be an amazing game…

Messed up my vocabulary.

I don’t think it should be considered a lot reviewer or gain a lot of validity if it’s only a YT channel dedicated to various parts of the gaming world, not reviews alone. I don’t consider Machinima a top reviewer by any means.

I honestly think that Halo 4 accomplishes what it was set out to do very very well. The only problem there seems to be is that it left out a lot of important elements to some players. No changing weapons in flood mode, no race game type (that I’ve seen), and much much more. If you can get past the missing elements in Halo 4 it’s an amazing game, and makes the wait for Halo 5 to re implement some of these missing concepts a long time.

hmmmm, this game sounds better and better by the minute!

I have to agree. They should have kept the Hornet or Falcon for custom games and forge. Also, custom games is supposed to be the most customisable mode ever where you’re supposed to be able to do ‘everything’, so why not give us every gametype from past Halo games? Or at least the good ones, such as; VIP, territories, etc.

Frikkin sweet. A 9.8 out of 10! That’s the highest ranked Halo game to date, beating Halo: CE by 0.1, 9.7 was the rank. I’m so excited! It’s Thursday, so close!

Machinima Gave it a 10/10

Some people don’t seem to realize that halo 4 is a VERY large game for Consoles. The reason they are cutting so many things is because they need space for other content that is more important.

Some people would say “well this one thing does not take that much space” let me just say, It all adds up.

I don’t think any game really deserves a 10/10. Nothing is THAT perfect.

But Halo often gets a high rating because it is part of the Halo franchise like how cod games get high ratings.

Really it doesn’t matter if other people say it is good, I want to like it too, I am the one buying and playing it.

Every review of the game has been paid off. There is no way anyone would risk their job by giving a game a low review a week early.

Not saying that Halo 4 is good or bad, I am just being realistic.

IGN got invited to exclusive events for Halo 4 and have been included in the Halo 4 advertising campaign. They are encouraged to talk up Microsoft/343i games to get involved in future events ect. so take reviews there with a grain of salt ‘usually’.

The review’s in-game footage, cut-scenes and basically everything he said don’t seem to imply they are hyping Halo 4 or implying that the game would not deserver that review. In my point of view it does deserve it. Looks damn good.

Yeh I completely understand that, that’s why I’m saying the wait for Halo 5 is going to be a long one. What was the most important was kept and vastly improved, and new stuff was added at the top quality. I’m pumped for Halo 4 and am gonna miss some things from Reach but I’ll get past them and enjoy every aspect in the game that was really worked on.

My friend has a promotional copy, as he is a reviewer and part of a gamestore.
He reviewed it unpayed, unbribed, and gave it a perfect 10.

There’s some 8/10 reviews…

I thought he sounded fair in his critique

I am hoping that it is still possible to make them return, at least mostly, by clever manipulation of Forge and Custom Game settings. To me, its still hope.

Back to the original topic: He’s a big Halo fan. However, since he’s involved in the Halo 4 marathon, I’m at least glad he is showing us why he believes the game deserves his 10, especially since he did a Halo 3 “warm-up” to kill time. The differences were definetoy for the better IMO.
