Well I kind of knew on day 1 that this would be an issue and it is.
The pistol in Halo 1’s multiplayer is way too over powered. It’s the only weapon anyone uses, forget rockets, shotguns and grenades. No one picks up any weapons and people just snipe using their pistols. It’s great in the campaign, but it’s breaking multiplayer.
I know this is supposed to be how it was back in the day, but I really don’t think it was accounted for for online games. I think LAN parties or one on ones it’s fine, you can talk to your opponents and make truces of pistols etc, but for online multiplayer, every game is a pistols match.
Anyways, I don’t think that they will. The Halo 1 pistol is the most iconic weapon in first person shooters. To take it out would make CE almost no fun at all.
dude it’s been a mainstay ever since the game was made. people have dealt with it in halo PC since 2003 and they’re gonna keep dealing with it until MCC’s servers go down. it ain’t going away
Your half right, which is why it was taken out from the other games in its Halo 1 form, but thats where it was born and lives, if you dont like it, dont play Halo 1

This is one of the worst posts I have ever seen. Ever.
Hey man that’s Halo 1, don’t like it? Don’t play it.
There’s no way it’s ever going to get removed. It does seem unfair if you’re not used to it because you’ll die sometimes without even having a chance to react, but once you play it for a while you’ll learn how to accommodate it, and even use it to your advantage.

It is officially the worst post I’ve ever read. This is Halo 1, you aren’t good here.
