Halo 1 PC Gameplay (Prep for Halo 1 MCC)

Hey all,

I’ve been playing Halo 1 on Xbox & PC for as long as I can remember and it has to be one of my favorite games of all time. With the MCC coming up, I would like to make this thread to show you what Halo 1 on PC was about and perhaps give you some insight on what competitive online play will be like for Halo 1 MCC on the Xbox. Seeing as the Xbox port will be of the PC version, there will be some subtle changes to the game/maps that you might not be aware of, which is what I would like to show you. Also, believe it or not, a lot of people still play this game today and I would like to share some of the gameplay footage with the community.

I have full 20 minute scrimmages (teamslayer, CTF, Assault) all the way from 2v2 to 5v5, so if anyone is interested, let me know and I will upload them to my youtube channel below.

…It’s not going to be like the PC version though. They said they’re using PC and Xbox code and making various modifications to make it play like the xbox version. The netcode is being changed as well.

Can you please provide a link that shows these various modifications? The maps are from PC, everything else except the netcode is pretty much the same, which is a good thing because the original PC netcode wasn’t any good.

so… youtube now supports 60fps video as long as you’re using google chrome.

i have no idea what this looks like on your monitors, but it looks pretty good on mine. i have to guess on color correction because i use lightboost on my monitor and the colors are kind of wonky, and i never really do 1080p videos, so i hope the quality is nice and clear for you guys.

this was my first time playing halo with a controller in so many years it makes me feel old, so dont judge me by my poor gameplay, i recorded this stuff for a quality check!

and if anyone is capable enough in photoshop to create a custom crosshair for the sniper that will be similar to the size of the one they demo’d in the “8 maps you’ve probably never played before” video for halo ce MCC, i’d be so happy i’d roll over and s*** yellow
