I love the CE flamethrower
Lets be honest. If they add a flamethrower, it’s PROBABLY going to be a chaingun reskin.

Would not shock me honestly
Halo 1s flamethrower would work best in halo 5, it’s quicker, ammo efficient, and a bit less accurate meaning more things will feel the burn😊
Halo 3’s is to slow, halo 5 can’t have slow. Even the turrets are just to slow causing people to think twice before using them.

Oh yea one of the reasons why I stopped using them
CE’s because it was first person. 3’s was cool but it lacked oomf and I hated being weighed down by heavy weapons/turrets

Turrets should be a bit handicapping in return for there amazing firepower
Halo 3’s Flamethrower didn’t make much sense.
CQC weapons rely on being able to close the gap and re-position quickly. So let’s make a gun that takes forever to move with and only has a range of five feet. That surely won’t leave people extremely exposed, extremely easy to get away from, or promote static and campy usage of the item behind the few chokepoints its actually viable in. The weapon absolutely sucked.
Halo Ce’s Flamethrower was basically an AR on steroids. Not much depth there. Fun to use, but poorly designed.
I propose a Flamethrower that fires a thin and heavily arching stream of napalm, which leaves a brief high-damage pool of fire upon contact with the ground.
-It would take some actual aiming skill to do direct damage with, especially at extended range.
-It would fill a unique niche of being an adequate area-denial weapon.

It’s almost like making a realistic flamethrower would be the best bet. And I cam imagine the visuals for a liquid stream of fire would be the sickest -Yoink-.
Also, I could imagine Arena using it as a sweet power weapon. Imagine a map with one, where the controlling team could take it to secure the best route for returning the flag, or using it to slow the advance of the enemy bomb-carrier to your base. Some could argue that it would slow down the gameplay, though. I guess there would just have to be several ways into every room.
We need more REQs and since they aren’t 100% the same it would be nice to have them both.
idc I want the flamethrower
the flamethrower would be awesome!
