Um… The game was made to be a nostalgic experience, as with the rest of the games included in the collection. That’s like saying 343i should remove the lock-on on the Rocket Launcher in Halo 2 because “it’s too OP!”
However, I can agree with making some gametypes with AR starts as that’s what it was in a good amount of games I’ve played on Classic and PC.

Threads like these just confirm how old the players are.
In the original game you have the option to either start with map default starting weapon or AR/Pistol combo. Most maps start you with a plasma pistol by default. It’s possible one or two maps started you with an AR.

Are you crazy, the M6D pistol is a classic weapon. There is no way 343i will do that. Plus it
disappoint alot of people. and also, the classic ar is no that good.
