I was goofing around on Blood Gulch when I noticed my pistol shots against a wall weren’t landing where I expected them to. After playing with it, it seems that the shots are landing ahead of the crosshair in the direction of my movement. If I strafe around a stationary point, my shots at that point will not land on the point but around it based on my strafing. I quickly started up Halo PC to check if this was normal, and it doesn’t seem to be. In Halo PC, bullets are not noticeably affected by my movement. Doing the same strafing movement, shots always land where my crosshair is pointed. Side by side, there’s a clear difference.
I can’t rule out that Halo PC’s projectiles are completely unaffected by motion, but at a short range, it is not noticeable at all. In MCC, it’s quite noticeable.
I originally submitted a ticket for this but I guess it’s not a bug, so I’m interested in understanding why this happens.
