Halo 1 and 2 on PC: Are they still active?

Does anybody still play them online in 2017? Are there active servers near Asia/ANZ?

The servers for Halo 2 PC were shut down almost two years ago

H1 is not got official servers, Gamespy (the people that hosted the servers I think) shut down last year.

H2 hasn’t had servers for a while.

However, there is still hope for CE as peer to peer hosting is still available and you can find games easily.

Bungie actually patched Halo 1 and made it so the multiplayer can work without gamespy so that’s not a problem. There’s not a lot of people playing but I can still find a few full games.

Its sad that halo 2 has lost its servers, but atleast CE still has hope. It might be just me but i hate it when awesome old games loose their player and get forgotten.

Ahh really? I had no idea, that’s a nice thing to do on Bungie’s part.
