Halo 2 Original Xbox Version is available in 4 player split screens campaigns using mode.
But Halo 1 has never been successful. So I figured out how. In the split screen select menu, it is possible to change the UI that only two people can use to UI for multiplayer.
Of course, you’ll need to modify your code to do this. But I do not know it.

Halo CE and Halo 2 are 2 player coop campaign only. They always have been.
EDIT: after re-reading this it seems like youre talking about modding the games. Please dont do that here.

Halo CE and Halo 2 were always just 2 person co-op. It was an incredible achievement when Bungie managed to make Halo 3 a 4 person co-op experience.
