As Microsoft announced they’re bringing some original Xbox games to Xbox One so am wondering if the first 2 Halo games would be compatible? Or is it pointless?
Umm, you know I’m not sure if it would be pointless or not. You would be only playing the campaign and that’s pretty much it. However it would be different from the Halo CE and 2 in the MCC. Either way I don’t care if they add this or not.
I think that they will be backwards compatible att some point.
Why would it be more pointless than 360 Halo games, lack of multiplayer? Halo CEA doesn’t have original soundtrack, that is one reason why it could be backwards compatible.
With Halo 2 I’ve talked to some people from 343, Xbox Live, and people who work at other large server based networks, and the general thing with Halo 2 Backwards Compatibility is that its not impossible but as of right now its just not likely and it would require old servers to be remade or for an overhall of the Halo 2 NetCode which isnt impossible or all the unlikely if the fan demand is there, if its not and 343 doesnt see any reason to do it, than i doubt they would.
