That’s how it looks like on Windows now:
- No way to get a ranked 2v2 or 3v3 in Deathmatch. - No way to get a matchmade Blitz game at all other than ranked 2v2. - In Team War you can’t control whether you get an unranked 2v2 or 3v3. Half of the time you queue up with a friend for a 2v2, you will get the wildcard of another random player in your team. - Versus AI you can’t even control whether you get Deathmatch, Domination or Strongholds.Especially removing 2v2 ranked Deathmatch is just stupid. Yes, player numbers were low, so I agree that playlists needed to be consolidated. But why remove the ranked option while keep the unranked? If you want to play casually, you can always just ignore the ranking. But not offering a ranked team option at all is an insult to any player who wants to compete in teamplay!
Three months ago I already ranted when Blitz 3v3 became the only ranked playlist on Windows, which resulted in my friend and me to abandon Blitz and move on to Deathmatch. Now you deny us in this mode ranked 2v2 again?! I am so fed up with the unannounced and ill-conceived removal of play options.

False. The issue is that is not on Steam. If it were on Steam I bet the player base would be quite good.
However, with a low player base this is what happens but in no way does that mean 343 just doesn’t care about the PC player base.

What playerbase? The game was basically dead on arrival on PC, and every playlist was dead anyway.
Honestly, I’m happy about this. Since there basically aren’t any players online anyway, maybe consolidating everything into 4 playlists will finally allow me to find a game.
remove unranked, remove vs ki (there is custom games and firefight already vs ki)
if you wanna play unranked you can go custom games on pc.
so keep:
1v1 ranked deathmatch
2v2 ranked deathmatch

I don’t argue against the consolidating, but the choice of removed playlists. Make it 1v1 and 2v2 ranked, maybe also 3v3 unranked, and we are fine.

Yeah, that’s fair. As long as there’s still VS AI and Blitz as well, then I’d be happy.

Uh, not false.
The PC version has always had to wait longer for updates and DLC to “propagate through the store”. Like now. The leaders are visible and purchasable in-game, but they still aren’t visible on the store, thus leaving Season Pass owners out.

Its like the Xbox version is their first child and the PC version is the forgotten middle child.
