Anyone else just seen the new Dev update? Such a basic feature as being able to buy a singular item out of a pack is ‘NOT SUPPORTED CURRENTLY’. Bruh. This is like BASIC level. If your system isn’t designed to support this then it highlights how little they care about us. They care about the ALMIGHTY DOLLAR!
Just take the game out F2P and let us buy the game so we don’t have to have the most AGGRESIVLY MONTOISED STORE AND SYSTEM I HAVE SEEN IN YEARS.
This is a live service game that is barely a game at this point. Hit reg and desync is getting worse. The updates break more than they fix. Oh but don’t worry guys. We’ll still sell you a helmet for $7.
Idea for the dev’s. Until the game is fixed the store should be disabled. Might restore a bit of faith in the community. But you won’t. Because you don’t honestly care about the community.
Every post you make is about Season 2. I ain’t waiting till May (which will probably see a delay) to play a functioning game.
What should we address next? The horrible melee? The horrible server stability? Nah! Here is what you can buy next! Spend your money! Next game we want a 3 month vacation at release, BOYS!
AT LEAST even they have finally acknowledge their spawns are complete poop!
This was demoralising to read. All the major issues that are plaguing this (potentially) epic game right now and such a simple thing like aligning an attachment is gonna take 3 months.
What hope is there of them getting on top of the broken matchmaking, broken hit reg and desync and the rest of the MAJOR issues.
What a mess. Its definitely time to start looking for a new game. No way this thing still has a playerbase by season 2.
This game is a disgrace to the Halo family. Go from pretty much not being able to play BTB at all because of the disconnects and server issues to now either not being able to connect or when I do, I join a game in progress and am on the team that is getting their @$$ kicked. No thanks!!! Backed out of every one and eventually got banned. Not even mad at this point. Just turned it off and put a movie in.
When this game came out the majority of people on my friends list were playing it, many long time Halo fans. Now it’s down to just me and one other and we are both very close to moving on as well.
‘Good question! It’s because it isn’t a high-pri issue like BTB. Taking someone off their Season 2 work, and rushing them to realign a visor in hopes that it can be integrated into the BTB hotfix build, is quite the scramble. I’d let them focus and put the fix on a later train.’
Mate they cant work out their own store. Its not that its a low priority, its that they haven’t a clue what they are doing.
I’m not a betting man, but if I was, id put money on this update putting a big dent in the already dwindling playerbase. Most of us were hoping to see some major overhauls to how the game primarily functions and instead we got “wait till season 2 you guys, we are gonna have so much tat for you to buy!”
This fix doesn’t take 3 months. It’s almost certainly already fixed and ready to go. But it’s a client side fix, which requires certification from Microsoft, and it’s a fix that is so insanely minor that it would be pants on head stupid to cut an entirely new client build and run it through certification just to ship this one fix.
This is how I feel every time I read comments like yours.
They have said its not even being worked on as they were more focused on making something else to charge us money for.
Tell you what is pants on head stupid though… They cant even confirm if the BTB fix works, even though it was suggested a flight build to insiders would give a lot more verification, but nope that build is off to cert already apparently.
Hopefully im wrong, they have a handle on everything, fixes planned etc etc and the PR dude is just on par with comical ali.
Uh what? It absolutely would be insanely stupid to run through the entire certification process just for a single fix as minor as this.
Okay… let me break this down:
When a bug enters the database it’s given a priority based on severity. This bug is the lowest possible severity that exists in video games. The impact to players is so insanely minor that the priority is almost set to “lowest.” Then, when a bug has its priority set, it gets assigned to a dev that has to work through all the rest of their priorities from highest to lowest. From tasks to bugs.
It’s not that they’re “more focused on making something else to charge us money for,” it’s that if client side assets slip their deadlines, it has a cascading effect on other team members and their deliverables.
This actually isn’t pants on head stupid and makes a lot of sense. If the bug is only reliably reproduced on the live environment with real players, it makes sense that the only way to really confirm the fix is to… put it on the live environment.
NOW this is probably why they should have some kind of test environment that PC players can opt into. They’d be able to make faster changes and get better turnaround.
