“You’re so bad you aren’t skilled enough to use a BR”
I just mastered DMR last game and went to using the BR this game and BAM I wrecked with it.
Well anyways back to the point of this thread.
I see no difference between DMR and BR, tbh. I still drop em quick, I do notice however my shields drop realitively faster at longer ranges but that’s it. If I pick my battles right, I don’t get owned by DMRs. So how in the world is it OP or the better gun?
One gun is better at a certain range than another. That doesn’t depend on the player skill, how “mastered” they are or anything other than raw stats of the gun. At long ranges a DMR is better than a BR. It has a faster kill time because it fires and single bullet and not 3 that spread. Fact. Get it? There’s no player skill involved here, one is better than the other is in certain situations.
I frequently use the DMR. Why? Because it’s better than the BR at the ranges most maps take place at - anyone using a BR on Ragnarok has simply selected a gun that it worse than the DMR in most scenarios. Conversely if we’re playing on Haven a BR is the obvious choice.
The idea that the DMR is OP is completely legitimate because at close ranges is suffers far less of a problem than the BR does at long range and no, that’s not down to the BR user’s skill, it’s down to that fact that you get no auto-aim over a certain range with the BR.
Just because someone can perform well with a gun on a certain map with a certain team it does not make that gun better in all situations. It seems like you’re just trying to puff your chest up and say “look at me I’m so amazingly 1337 with both guns”. Big whoop, in any given scenario one gun is better to be using than the other and that’s just fact.
