Yes i did report him, submitted this clip too… case still open.
Hey, aspiring Onyx here.
I hope you remember all the times we dealt with hackers during the Xbox days.
Is that really a genuine question? …and what is the relevance to cheats using software hacks to manipulate the game?
I hope it’s a tongue in cheek question…but if not, assigning actions to different buttons is obviously not hacking or cheating by any stretch of the imagination (both controller and M&K players have been able to reassign actions to buttons in pretty much every multiplayer game I can remember).
Just to make sure… those outlines are from the theater itself. I chose to show those outlines to make it clear he was tracking me through the wall, and not just have a very lucky headshot.
Oh no don’t worry I’m aware.
There’s no sighting of you by any other enemy teammates’ vantages either at that moment. Too far away to hear footsteps logically as well. No other indications that you were in that spot, assumptions could be made based on potential spawn locations, but the guided tracking on your silhouette was a dead giveaway.
Theater has its issues and can be misunderstood, but that was blatant cheating through and through. Thank you for posting that, honestly. I wish more players would take that route rather than just say ‘I saw a cheater’, it lends so much more credence and legitimacy to a claim.
Please report players at the support site and not here:

I was responding to OP’s claim that there were players using wallhacks by providing proof of his claim.
I also responded that i did report the player in question, with this video as evidence, and that the case is still open.
But thank you for making sure that the cheater gets reported.
Everyone who gets wrecked in mp starts accusing people of hacking its a compliment really.
Have you seen the video i made and linked in the thread?
Inb4 this thread causes thousands or worse of more hackers now that people know about that site. I just saw all the videos posted about it. What a disaster of a launch this game has had. It’ll only get worse before it gets better…
Unfortunately this is not just a Halo issue but a gaming issue all together. Obviously Call of Duty has issues with hackers and so does Battlefield. Halo is no different. Cheats are getting more advanced and out pacing anti-cheat technology. Modded controllers are starting to get the ability to use PC cheats and work on console as well. So the issue will continue to grow for the foreseeable future. At least until top gaming publishers and hardware developers like Microsoft and Sony start dumping millions into research and development on new anti-cheat technology.
It’s just that it’s way easier to detect in Halo.
Other games are plauged with hackers, but their TTK is so short, a hacker playing safe can get away with almost every single hack in existence, save flying around the map.
In Halo, the TTK is so long and experienced players know the limits and effective kill times of each weapon, so if they sense anything sus or unusual, the first thing they do is load up Theater and bam, you see the hacks in full effect from the hacker’s gameplay perspective.
Definitely doesn’t help that the game right now has no Anticheat whatsoever to speak of and the desync more often than not hides the traces of sus play.
Hacking is 100% possible and becoming easier and easier on console. My first experience ever dealing with hackers in FPS was on console. Sorry to burst your bubble console babies.
…
Why would you mention the site that the people get cheats from? Wouldn’t that allow more people to know where to get these cheats, thus increasing the number of cheaters?
It’s literally free advertisement
I’m honestly shocked it hasn’t been edited/deleted yet.
It would’ve been KGB’d within seconds on the Blizzard forums
The biggest issue is when trying to report these people. You are directed to halowaypoint and need to write an essay why you suspect someone is cheating. I wonder who even reads those tickets, really. Some guy in India, working in a call center and not even related to 343 at all?
Even this, a simple reporting tool, is a complete joke thanks to 343’s incompetence.
You’re doing it wrong. There’s a pecking order to this.
- Blame the hackers
- Blame cross-play
- Blame no aim-assist on consoles
- Blame KBM players
- Blame PC controller players
- Blame PC refresh rates
- Blame the in-game monetization of cosmetics which apparently translates to predatory pricing.
Then feel free to blame your own play.
