Just speculation because Xbox live core services are down and the last time they were down in December was because of Lizard Squad

It’s not speculation, look at the link I posted. And it concerns Halo 5 because Halo 5 is affiliated with Microsoft and XBL servers are down because of Phantom Squad and XBL is a part of Microsoft. So all of this is practically associated with Halo 5
