Hackathon Entry - Halo Carnage

Application/Web Site title:
Halo Carnage

Description:
Halo Carnage is a highly detailed carnage report for your Halo 5 matches, with all features available on the website and mobile/tablet apps.

The website/app automatically updates once you have completed a game to show a detailed view of your latest game.

This includes:

  • Each player’s data for the match, including their rank progression, XP progress, kills, assists, weapons and medals. - MVP, Top Medals and ‘fun facts’ about each match. - Best Spree is calculated, the ‘Killjoy’ medal has been added back, the ‘Extermination’ medal has been fixed - Highly detailed charts detailing each kill/death and assist for a player, or for all teams. The Timeline includes weapon pickups (including Custom Powerup), kill data (including Perfect Kills) and key objective points. - Flag Possession and Ball Possession is displayed for CTF, Breakout, Assault and Grifball games. - Interactive Maps I have drawn for Fathom, Truth, Regret, Eden and Empire (so far) by tracing the in-game coordinates using Machinima Mode. This drawing is a scaled representation of the map, which means I can accurately plot the kills, deaths, and draw the distances or sightlines between those players. This can also be filtered by the height, time, weapons and players. - Players can be compared individually between their Kills, Assists and Deaths. Players and weapons can be filtered. - You can ‘play the game’ and watch the charts change over time (particularly useful for the carnage map) - Friends and pros list so you can see the other player stats, or you can browse game history. The website/app also includes a fully detailed Service Record for a selected player:

  • All Arena or Warzone stats (Games played, kills, deaths, assists and their relevant calculations). - The Arena data can be sorted by season and then by playlist. - The Service Record includes a full breakdown of the weapons and medals used for the search results, as well as a full medal chart to see what you’re missing out on! - Your Match Summary can be searched which results in a massively detailed view of a set range of games. This can be filtered by Map, Playlist and GameMode and results in a graph with the relevant data. Selecting a point in the graph will show the game data, including a link to the full Halo Carnage page. Your summary for your maps played within this range is grouped together, meaning you can now find out game data for each map.The website is fully mobile-compatible, and the apps are available on Apple, Android and Windows 10 devices.

I can’t believe nobody has commented on this. I’ll be the first to say that your work on Halo Carnage has been superb man. When I first saw your implementation of the events endpoint with Fathom, I was excited. The feature was implemented extremely well. I actually use Carnage very often. Especially when the servers are quirky and I can’t get my PGCR in-game, I load up Carnage. Keep up the great work on this man. You are doing an amazing job.

Everyone should check out Halo Carnage: it is very detailed and easy to use.

Nobody commented on my submission either. Can you believe that?

Thanks for the kind words! It’s been a lot of fun to build for all of the different apps, and I’m excited to keep adding to it!
