I agree. Maybe Steves face mixed with the Halo 4 legendary face reveal!
But i think, hope that master chief will go away WITH cortana. In an amazing way, it better be saving the world too like stopping cortana but dieing with her.
Every fans expectation:
classic music better be played during and after that happens, it better end like the Pillar Of Autum going away how Bungie did in Reach, a “this has been a hell of a ride” in there, and last but not least, a ending like the legendary Halo 3, that ending… to me was the real ending…
How would you guys want this to end?

Actually, he was stranded on requiem then got rescued by the infinity and destroyed the didact. Just saying, if they get a new head writer, halo 6 could be awesome. Don’t spread your negativity. This is one of those posts that’s not constructive criticism but just hate.
I honestly can’t say what should happen
Warning: Possible Spoilers for those who haven’t seen the legendary ending. You have been warned…
I feel that in Halo 6, the Sangheli, Humans, Grunts, most every sentient species will rebel against Cortana, that much seems pretty obvious.The legendary ending of Halo 5 does show a brief picture of a Halo Ring. Perhaps, in an effort to put down the rebellion, Cortana will try to activate this Halo ring in some way or another(a human is needed, so this part may be complicated). Before doing so, she plans to save a few “specimens” from each species, and use them to reseed the galaxy as the Forerunners had. Of course Blue team, Osiris, and likely the Swords of Sanghelios will attempt to regroup with Infinity, go to the ring in question, and make one final effort to stop Cortana. I can’t quite think of how exactly this will go down, but the game should (almost has to) end with an emotional scene with John and Cortana, perhaps reconciliation, perhaps attempted and failed reconciliation. There’s still not a lot besides a basic outline for this idea, but I would very much enjoy it if the game took this route. I think this would feel a BIT, not entirely like Halo 3, being on the ring, fighting for the last time. Perhaps John would “die” like he did in 3, or actually die this time(hopefully not, though this could work out). I feel this would round out the series quite well. I truly hope the game turns out to be on scale with Halo 3.
I hope we don’t see his face. I feel like it would’ve been okay if Bungie dragged out Halo to this point, and then revealed his face, but if 343 did it it would feel like a “oh brother wtf are you doing” type of thing. Keep chief’s pretty face under wraps, boys.
As for how all this plays out, I’m thinking that either the Prophets/brutes take control of prometheans somehow, or the flood make a sort of comeback, or both. Really I have no clue how this will play out, but I can really feel a return of the prophets.

I support Arc Trooper 48 - and a Halo without the Master Chief is no Halo at all.

Really good idea, but I hadn’t even thought of the part I highlighted. She tries to mimic what the Librarian did by gathering the dna of the sentient species. Nice

I agree that maybe all the species of the galaxy will join together and rebel against Cortland and the other AI’s. And tat John and Cotana will have one final stand.
