Might and Magic the card game have a feature where you get to sacrifice cards you have in order to get coins, wildcards and a chance of getting a specific card which is also shiny/foil.
The higher the rarity the higher the chance became, and also more coins and wildcards. When you had all the cards you wanted to sacrifice selected, you sacrificed them. Incase you didn’t have 100% chance of getting the special card, you may not get it.
