MCC is also launching new titles on PC about every three months, so it makes sense to give it an update on Xbox as well.
Halo 5 had tons of free updates for the longest time. Still a lot of content in that game, whether it’s content you like or not lol

MCC has a dedicated team, most of the old H5 team is now working on Infinite so it doesn’t get delayed again.

For sure. I would imagine most of 343 is knee deep in Infinite’s development right now. If anything I would just expect double xp weekends leading up to launch/rotating playlists and nothing more. Those types of things are easy to add and don’t involve major updates.
But it will be appreciable that 343i works more on req pack rotations.

Yeah, I’d love to see some playlist refreshes. Some new maps would be nice.
(I have a few forge maps on the map submission mega thread but it seems like 343 doesn’t even check it anymore)
Halo 5 has been out for so long it’s safe to say 343i isn’t investing into updating this game anymore aside from rotational pvp playlists. Plus with MCC updates/Halo 3 ODST and eventually Halo 4 coming to pc; and Halo Infinite coming sometime next year, they’re investing more time and R&D into the final touches to make Infinite as great as can be, and doing the proper tweaking for the flights of Halo 3 ODST and Halo 4 for MCC on pc when they time comes around.
Halo 5’s shelf life is on its last legs. In delaying Infinite, H5 has been somewhat extended past it’s expiration date. Nowadays the only people that play actively are grinding toward 152, and with Infinite’s delay I bet there will be one last wave of grinders starting now. There isn’t much to add to H5 in my opinion, the only support I would appreciate is if they patch the stupid menu freeze bug that happens so often, that checking the post game carnage report is such a risk.
