H5 - Suggestion for EXP gain

So while all the fanboys are milling about crying over all the awards Halo 4 didn’t win at the VGA’s (and good thing too, since it didn’t derserve any of them anyway), I figured I’d make a suggestion to the sane Halo players still on the forums, as no doubt this sentence has already seperated them from the fanboys.

Moving away from that and on to the topic at hand:

My suggestion is to do away with the “free exp” progression system that Reach and Halo 4 have currently and put into place a refined Halo 3 system:

Win - gain exp
Win (after a teammate quits) - gain bonus exp
Lose - don’t gain exp
Lose (after a teammate quits) - gain exp
Quit - lose exp

It’s a simple suggestion in theory, but there’s no doubt that it would help with players’ incentive to win games instead of just messing around all match or team griefing, especially. It also helps out teams that are put into unfair spots based on players quitting by allowing them to still earn exp and even a bit more if they can pull through and then punishing the players that quit by deducting exp.

I just can’t help but feel that the mentality of most players has gone from wanting to win to just wanting to finish a game. Either way you get about the same exp and it really lessens the feeling of winning to no more than a dull “woo.”

That and I was thinking about deducting exp from teammates if they betray you but that could be dodgy based on whether or not it was an accident or on purpose and Halo has never been good at determining that.

So yeah, let me know what your thoughts are on this.
