H5 Quitters purgatory

The idea is that habitual quitters should have one playlist, they would have to complete 10 games in this list to be allowed to play with the general population again. I would be ok with this replacing the ban hammer.

I’ve always liked this idea. Quitters would get mad at quitters for quitting like they do.

Putting quitters with quitters works way better than banning look a HotS

lol love the idea

That would be awesome! It could even be effective, too.

Great idea dude.

Although the ‘sentence’ would vary with how often the user quits.

Great idea imo.

This a good idea actually. Way better then the ban hammer. So lets say if they quit in purgatory do they get more games tacked on?

Nah 10 games to start with is a good base line.

That sounds good to me, but there wouldn’t be any one there to play, they all would quit. LOL

Yeah, how would you prevent the quitters from quitting? How many games would you have to quit to go to this purgatory?

Let’s see.

a) Some good players would quit just to get to purgatory where they could farm for free. You decide if that’s accidental justice or not.
b) Some habitual quitters would stop quitting and just run around in circles instead. You decide if that’s helpful or not.
c) Innumerable others would find less obvious ways of circumventing or subverting the purgatory playlist, because this is what bored and/or frustrated players do. You decide if you really want getting/avoiding the quit ban to become a game-within-the-game.

I’m sure there are other unintended consequences I haven’t thought of, and I’m not sure if anyone cares about them or not, but I can really see “b” becoming a big enough problem that even if you end quitting altogether then you’ve only replaced the problem with a new one which is just as bad.

Start with smaller increments of time bans (10 mins, 15, 30, 1 hour) then go to the purgatory for 10+ games. Good idea.

Time bans don’t work period.

How does everyone feel about denying access to REQS for Warzone quitters? Say for the next 5 games. Or simply limiting quitter so the pistol and AR.

This won’t fix anything. It will only make it a thousand times worse.

  1. Make every purgatory game on orion.
  2. Only do 5, we don’t want to lose players.
  3. Make it not count toward kdr but it still counts toward w/l.
  4. Quitting a purgatory game just makes it void and you have to replay that match.

Purgatory would actually teach a lesson. When you get hit by the banhammer you just take a break and come back later. With purgatory you’d HAVE to serve time to rejoin society.

That’s a surefire way to stop people from playing the game.

Good suggestion. It could definitely be changed, but it needs to have a minimum. I used 10 to get the conversation started.
