I’m not saying this does look better, just curious as to what people think?
I actually really like a lot of 343’s designs (the new banshee, the new hunter, even chief).
But man, the marines just REALLY bug me, especially after Reach, 3 and now 2 Anniversary where they look fantastic
and really gel with the Halo universe.
I’m aware the original H5 marine image isn’t overly flattering/fair, it’s just the only marine turnaround image I could find.
Simply changed the colours, added a few pouches/mud splats, and replaced the Kevlar with armour plating.
I like the old design a lot better, but the new ones are ok. Halo Wars 2 marines do look a lot better than Halo 5. I think they should of just brushed up on the old design, but I ain’t complaining, I still think the marines are pretty cool.

Tbh since posting this the new design has grown on me, it may just not have had time to grow on me as we barely see marines in game anymore.
I don’t even have any recollection of playing alongside this model. I hope we see them in action in 6.
not bad, not bad at all. though may I say, it would look much better if the under suit was a faded olive drab color (see the CE marines as an example). the marine looks too much like a spartan with a black under suit
