before I get the “Oh here we go with a other I hate halo post” let me say this, this is based solely on the experience of what made us spend countless hours on the couch. Remember when previous halo games were released, you and all your buddies took the day off, line up at midnight at every video game store, got home, popped the disc in and put in at least 4 hrs of non stop gaming.
Then you ran home from work everyday just to call up your buddies to join you, some people often called outta work just to play, some people had a dedicated halo day or hours. I’m sure a bunch of guys got fat or fatter because of halo. My point is, we put in so much time to one experience that was just impossible to stay away from. Most people didn’t care about winning because it was just too much fun, and even losing was still a great experience, matter of fact, when the game pissed you off, an hr later you were back on because you were just that hooked. Now seriously, when was the last time that we felt this way with a halo game?
Halo 4 was the first halo game where the population died faster than your controller, it’s online player count was less than halo reach is just a year, no halo game has ever had such a huge population drop is such a short time, now we have halo 5 beta, and remember, most of the time the beta ends up being the entire game with minor minor changes. In the beginning it was fun, after a week every experience was the same, shoot someone, they boost, sprint, if u pursue them, their teammates pick u off with 2 shots, and don’t even get bring up the horrid br starts, wasn’t xbox motto for halo “finish the fight” well I’d like to see them actually do that in halo 5, it’s cat and mouse every single match because of quick kill time, and the complete removal of lone wolfing, the game have become so team oriented that there’s rarely 1vs1 engagements, it’s always 1vs2, 1vs3 ranged combat, beat downs are rarely used, assassinations are non existant, beat downs and assassinations was classic in previous halo games, so was close combat, so was finishing a fight, point is, there used to be a perfect balance of everything.
if people think the halo 5 population won’t die fast then how do they account for a drop in beta players now, often time u end up finding the same guys, the games have gone from being impossible to stop playing to being a short lived experience. I’m sure I’ll be flamed for not loving this game and for posting this, but here’s my take on whoever hates what I gotta say, -Yoink- your flame, I’ll wipe my shoes with your thought, I won’t hate you for loving it so don’t hate me not loving it. It’s a forum, different opinions are supposed to help make the game great, but there’s so many jack -Yoinked!- out there that trample on what u say because they see it differently. I’d respect any intelligent counter argument anytime, but keep ur flame to your self. And for any who’s gonna say “go play mcc” guess what, I would, but it’s more broken than a shattered mirror, but that’s a never ending never mending story
