Post what you believe 343 should add to forge in Halo 5. Who knows, maybe they’ll take notice! One thing I think would be cool to add, if at all possible, is the ability to change the weather on a map via FX orbs similar to visual FX which were introduced in Halo 3’s Legendary Map Pack.
My personal list:
- Themed Pallets. There should be human, Covenant, and Forerunner themes for most objects to give maps more variety.
- Bots. I want to be able to place AI UNSC soldiers, Covenant and Prometheans in maps, especially after hearing there won’t be a PvE mode at launch
- Weather. As OP said, changing the weather on maps would be very cool and give more variety.
- Placing All Objects on All Maps. Something that upset me in previous forges was that some maps didn’t allow you to spawn certain objects or vehicles when they could have worked just fine. The less limitations the better.
- Destroyed Objects/Dead Bodies. It would be really cool to be able to place down destroyed vehicles or dead bodies to add some scenery to maps or machinimas without worrying about them despawning.
Fog Machine.
I’ve always wanted this in Forge. It’d make the atmosphere of Infection maps pretty dang good.
It’d be like a little gray box that’d make fog surround it. But you couldn’t visually see/touch the gray box in an actual match; It’d only be there in Forge so you can grab it.
Some great looking pieces that you can alter the dimensions of.

Some macro room design controls.
Weather, day/night map states.
Triggers/conditions/logic system
Would love if if we could stream Forge to Windows 10 and then play around using Keyboard/Mouse.

Lots of scenery items, hell even bring the dominion stuff back like the monitors and wires!
The only thing that will wow me with Forge is if they have terrain editing finally, without it Forge is just a glorified lego set.
Day and Night cycle.
I don’t think we should base any of these decisions solely on if it enhances Machinima or not.
I know it’s one sided, but I want them to focus on creating things for the MULTIPLAYER aspect, not machinima.
Changeable skyboxes and textures. New objects.
