I am getting the H5 console bundle and really can’t get behind the idea of the digital download code. Just want to know if those of us who are going all in for the bundle will have the same option to trade in the code for a physical copy. Seeing how we are paying twice as much (granted it is the console bundle) we should be graced with the opportunity to trade out the code for the disc. I’ve looked and asked everywhere, but nobody can give me a straight answer. I only ask because this will be my second console. One in the bedroom and one in the living room. And I doubt Microsoft will allow me to download the same code onto two different consoles where if I had a disc it would be no problem. Please 343i, somebody give me a straight answer so I can figure out what I need to do…
the code is basically just paying for the game for you. I have downloaded my digital games onto multiple consoles, but only on my home console can anybody play them without me being signed in and I can set a password for logging into my profile on different consoles. So download it m8 set one console as home and you can play your game with a friend by signing into the other console and having your friend sign into your Home console as themselves. Best bit is because the consoles sync save data with the cloud neither of you miss out on any of your saves

good info man thanks
Some more info: the disc version is just the digital version that can only be activated when the disc is in the tray. The game doesn’t actually play off the disc, it plays off the digital copy downloaded from the disc. So they take up the same space on your hard drive.
I don’t see why anyone would want a disc version, other than the prospect of trading it in down the road/if they don’t like it.

I’m with you on that, I’m pure digital. However, there are still many people that collect the discs I believe.

Depending on your ISP, discs install faster than the digital download. Also you can revert the game to its intial version in case you need to trouble shoot certain achievements as is the case for “Who needs them” in the MCC. Plus I like holding the disc in my hand and admiring the cover art.
You only redeem the code once on your account, but it will always appear in your “Games and Apps” folder on any Xbox One you log into. You’ll just have to select it on the 2nd console and download it again.

343i has confirmed that there will be a trade-in option for the collectors edition of the game for those who would prefer a physical disc. We don’t yet know what the details of that program are though and I’m not sure if it extends to the Halo 5 console bundle. I would imagine it would.
Personally, the ability to share digital games with a 2nd console outweighs any benefits of physical copies for me. Plus not needing to swap discs and being able to quickly switch between games with Kinect is pretty great. You just have to have a little more personal restraint/do better research before you make a purchase since you can’t trade-in any games you don’t care for. The only mistake I’ve made so far was with Watchdogs, so overall I don’t miss having a physical copy of the game.

I would think that no internet speed would take longer than a week to download, which is the time given to digital users to pre-download.
