think about it. Halo 4 story was great with poor mission design. Halo 5 story was nonexistent with better mission design. Seems as though they are fixing what needs to be fix, which is good, but they need to realize some things they did before are good. Like in Halo 5, Forge is great( sometimes difficult to use) but it has many custom game issues. Don’t sacrifice the forge because we want a good CG. I know it probably wasn’t intentionally, I just want to share what I think a common trend was in h4 and h5.
Nonexistent? Explain please.
Interesting take. Halo 4’s story was definitely good…but, like you said, was limited by poor design. Conversely, I think Halo 5 had good design, and while it did indeed have a story, it was poorly told/executed.
Along the same lines, the Halo 4 multiplayer was not very good. Armor abilities, loadouts, ordinance drops, etc all took away from multiplayer and took Halo away from what it was at its core. On the flipside, Halo 5 has really put the emphasis back into how Halo multiplayer used to be…doing away with most armor abilities and putting the focus back on fast-gameplay.

Misleading Marketing and Poor Character development. I honestly don’t like the direction Halo 5 campaign took us. Halo 6 will have a lot of room to explain back to us. And past halo 6, I don’t understand where the story will go with Covenant gone, Cortana (probably) defeated. There isn’t a known enemy left. Seems like 343 is making up the story as they go.
pretty much yes. There were some missions in h4 which were really good like the pelican mission and others which were just awful and drab, however I would play them anyways because the story was amazing.
