Just a short question? Why is it, or how is it that the matchmaking times and the actual matchmaking itself works like it should for the H5 Beta, but still doesn’t work for the MMC?
I am in south Africa, and still have yet to join one match in the MMC, but if I join a lobby in the H5 Beta, I find a 4 vs 4 game in under 1 min every time?
Surely if you can get it right for our region for the H5 Beta, You can get it right for the MMC, I’m not looking forward to the H5 Beta when it comes to an end becos it literally means no online multiplayer will exist for our region for the MMC becos it will remain “broken”
South Africa has a massive following of this amazing game, and we just want to be able to play it… that is all.
For me, it doesn’t work better. It actually works worse. And MCC is still broken for me.
Because the MCC is 4.5 games in one built on the cooperation of at least a few different studios and the Halo 5 beta is a beta (woah) with only a relatively minuscule amount of content compared to the MCC. There’s a lot less that can go wrong basically.
It still has some issues. I often sit in a pregame lobby with 4-7 other players after a person drops and we all know that it is about the bug out and we can’t do anything other than sit their and wait for the bug notice or restart the game. It does make for some funny conversations with other player though while you wait. They need to work on matchmaking and the menu quite a bit for the final release because as it stands it is unacceptable. Then again, this is a beta so we will have to see.
The MCC still doesn’t have much of an excuse. A few problems is fine but as it stands with all the issues it has, it shouldn’t have ever made it to the shelf. They should have beta tested to make sure the servers were set up properly. Honestly it feels like the half–Yoinked!- the matchmaking just to make a deadline.
Also, the beta runs off different servers I believe and hosts less content.
MCC was made by many companies, and was complicated mixing all the engines. while halo 5 is being worked on by almost all of 343. 343s team was mostly working on halo 5, but they still get all the credit for the master chief collection because its so fun to bash them.
