There is alot of discussion going on right now specifically on the Halo 5 gameplay mechanics but i want to bring about a new discussion something more along the lines of spartan customization. I dont really see people bring this topic up for discussion too often so i decided to do it myself why not 
So first of all i hated the Halo 4 armor and from HCE to H2 and H3 armor customization really wasnt something people cared about because it wasnt popular at the time. Not until HALO REACH came out but my god was that armor sick from the sniper bullets you could put on your shoulders to the robotic arm you could add to your spartan. That was really cool in my eyes and through out the years character customization has become some what of a grinding trend to people from COD to Destiny with loot systems and such. I feel Halo 5 Guardians should have something like that but something so unique that it’ll attract players to keep coming back to unlock better armor pieces or BR skins . Not only will awsome gameplay bring people back but also the sense of uniqueness that could be brought upon people just by creating your own true spartan exactly how you would want to look if you were an actual true bad -Yoink- looking spartan!
How amazing would it be if Halo brought not only Multiplayer gameplay but Customization to another level! I had this idea that was inspired by black ops 2 emblem customization and i thought what if you could do that but to your helmet being able to add all sorts of shapes or emblems or even to your BR!!! Im sure you guys have even better ideas than mine! So leave your great ideas in the comment section and lets talk about them !!!
I think it would be enough to just have a decent armory like Reach had.
Shaping your armor would end up in various exploits for MM. Shaping armor/gun skin again could be something feasible…however with limits
Reach did have sweet armor. H4 wasn’t that bad though.
I would love to be able to change the color of the skin-tight suit separately from the armor color!
Reaches armor and customization options were amazing I’m hoping for something along those lines.
I hope there will be more customization in H5 than in reach
i like the H5 armor showns -SO FAR- especially the helioskrill - looks like an elite - im excited to see MOARZ! but helmet/armor shaping is too much. But skinning it would be okay, and changing your undersuit color. like it can be all black - halo 2 anniv black - or have a main red and secondary black, with pink armor

I agree with you and i feel that the ranking system from reach should be bought back so you unlock Armour by leveling up instead of commendations
I personally like what they did to Mark-VI in H2A multiplayer.
In fact, I would go with the Halo 4/5 armor pieces (I love Agent Locke’s armor) entirely black body suit, with Reach attachments (ammo pouches, bullets, knives, etc.)
I’ve posted my suggestions before about customization but nothing I bring up more than wanting “black” not steel armor color and the whole “But we can’t see them when they’re in a shadow” has been dead 1 since there’s active camo…2 camo skins which they even had a teaser of H4 showing someone hiding completely blended into a rock. Also Halo Reach did have actual black in the beta then was returned to “steel” when the official game released. Another thing I would “love” is to finally wear MK IV (halo wars) armor since IMO is the best “Spartan” looking armor ever. Inclement Weather was also very awesome.
As for weapons…I think it would be cool to pick skins for example BR picking Halo 2’s remastered BR or the H4 style BR. Same for AR’s and Reach’s DMR vs H4’s.
how about selectable armor shield recharging sounds, hud arrangements and colors??? :))
I’m thinking having something like Reach’s customization options with more visor colors than H4 would be nice. I wouldn’t mind having skins for weapons too. But as long as I have a full Mark VI armor set I’m a happy spartan, however having Master Chief’s H4 armor would be awesome too (just saying).
I’m with you revan mark IV and inclement weather were awesome. I’d also enjoy weapon skins and armor emblems or decals kinda like the flames on the helmet it the beta screenshots from this site. And to cptinfinity if you look at the screenshots of the beta on here one of the Spartans has ammo patches so you might be getting your wish.
I would love much more customization options with my armor. Honestly, I would like to get down to the nitty-gritty and change multiple things at once. I know we can already change quite a bit, but I loved the idea of the attachments to the helmets and armor that Reach had, sure it was older tech then but it felt much more personal and alive.
However, one thing that I disliked about the whole idea behind immersion with H4’s multiplayer was that it wasn’t done to a level I think it could have been. Honestly, they had an entire Spartan Deck on the Infinity and didn’t use it once for customization! Preposterous! Why not, instead of just taking us to a menu area with a Spartan model, take use to one of the armor area’s on the S-deck that Thorne and them go to and let us watch our armor get put on or at least have it there for effect for slightly more immersion?
Hell, I made an entire topic back during H4 about a more immersive SPARTAN Ops that involved exploring the Infinity for ONI secrets when not suited up in armor and doing missions. Another thing I mentioned in that topic was the ability to have playable lobbies before matches where the Spartans of both teams would be able to (either in third or first person, I would have liked third personally so as to check out my armor and others) hang out and talk or trash talk and rustle someones jimmies before the lobby of players were either teleported out or animated going into team areas only for the map to load up and the players to begin the match.
Honestly, I think if they had really pushed the immersion for Multiplayer with the Infinity and so on, they would have had an even more iconic Halo game. No reason they can’t do something like this in H5.
I just wished that there would have been more armor customization(chest, legs, etc.). But now that I think about it, they would have to change everything to do that.

About the destiny remark, Bungie made Halo Reach, and Destiny, so it’s reasonable they put it in there.
