H4 Soundtrack Samples - "Halo Feel"

Most of you have probably heard the soundtrack samples of Halo 4. If you haven’t, here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQ-mmSh9yMw

I’m just so curious to see what people think of it, so I’m posting a thread. To me, it’s beautiful. It was uninteresting at first, but the more times I listen to it, the better it sounds. I think it kind of has to grow on you. Although I must say this will never beat Marty’s work, it’s almost just as good. Well, maybe not that good but still it’s very good. How can something totally new still bring that “Halo feel?”

I have completely forgotten that there are composers for video-games in the world that compose great music that aren’t Marty O’Donnell. So what do you guys think of the new music? Do you think it brings back the classic “Halo Feel?” Post below

For a new trilogy, I’m completely open to what Neil has done so far. I like it. I just hope that throughout the game it will grab attention (the music) on its own, like Marty’s score with his work in Halo.

I think it’s unfair to say, “It’ll never beat Marty’s work.” But I understand what you mean.

I think this sounds excellent. at 0:40 you begin to hear a familiar melody (slow tune in Halo 3 menu) but then it deceptively transitions into something darker. I love it.

I’ll be one of the first to buy the full soundtrack and listen and analyze it. Can’t wait to catch the similarities and differences.

Wait, is Neil just doing Halo 4 or will he do other future Halo games as well?

P.S.
“Toa Tak?” Are you a Bionicle fan?

Wunderbar!

the music is good but some of the music i heard is just like the style of music you would hear in a cliche hollywood action movie trailer not the best style for halo imo, but its ok
