now i am going to rant about halo 4. why was there no beta? why were there not ranks in the first place? who thought it was a good idea to have waypoint ranks and what the hell was the reason behind it? why cant there be a noob playlist and a tryhard one? why is there noob gametypes in throwdown such as “td slayer/flag/koth”? why does the dmr always win over the battle rifle? why is the battle rifle not a 4 shot? why is the carbine an 8 shot? i dont think that the concept part of making a new halo game is all that difficult. what part of “what worked worked. why would you change it?” dont you understand? halo 1 worked halo 2 worked halo 3 worked halo reach did not work halo 4 has all the potential but isnt getting anywhere. so looking back at history, truely successful halo games all but reach, why would you make 4 resemble reach so much? i watch all these videos of press conferences where the 343 designers talk about how h4 is so much better than reach, the br is back (sorry the current br does not resemble the original br at all). actually lets get into that, my problems with the h4 br. reticle, the big circle is more difficult to get accurate shots than the little one on the dmr, the five shot is stupid, the br has always been a 4 shot. that is that. i like the dmr… sort of. i like the reticle that didnt change from reach but when shot the bloom is differnt. i like that a throwback but better. i dont know why you guys couldnt do that with the br… i really dont understand why you cant just customize you button layout. why do you have to choose preset button layouts that arent really all that good? it seems that they are all compromises. which makes people have to get custom controllers to combate the lack of planning in this area. why cant you move when you press the back button? that has to be the most annoying thing. when 343 was doing r&d why didnt they notice there was no x marker and that you couldnt move when you pressed the back button. i watched a video where someone from 343 was talking about how halo 4 was going to be a collaberation of all the games. i really dont see how h4 resembles h1-3 other than the name. it really doesnt feel like any other halo game and that is the reason why alot of people dont like it. i have another thing i dont like. automatically picking up the flag is a joke. committing to carrying it is one thing, i am ok with the pistol. i thought it was unique for h4 and is easy to adapt to. but, the big arrow over your head is really stupid. not to mention the fact that if you die next to a teammate they get stuck with it unknowingly to them. that is pretty much it. i would love to hear what 343 has to say about all this. i know everyone on my friends list feels the same way. so i am sure alot of other people do also. anyone that reads this feel free to comment on anything except the questions unless you are part of 343.
I’m blind now…
It’s not fair to ask 500 questions and not have an alternative idea of how to answer them yourself.
Do you really think they are going to read that wall of hatred of yours?
3 three words: Paragraphs and subtitles.

I would actually consider CTF and KoTH in Throwdown some of the most competitive gametypes possible, what would make you think these are, as you call them, noob gametypes?
Pre-patch Halo 2 would like a word with you.
To be honest, I would prefer that, but you would have some really advantageous combinations arise. Buying a particular controller is the stupidest possible thing I could think of in this situation, because any shooter player should be able to easily adapt to a few particular control layouts, notably the default and fishstick.
That’s all I’m answering, that wall of text scares me.
wut
@OP:
I’m not giving that a proper read until you can type it properly.
I’m not reading that…
I think I just got epilepsy…
They don’t give a crap about your horribly-typed rant. They will never read it. None of your ideas will be implemented.
My eyes! Think one of them ran away to another room.
Paragraphs man, group your ideas. Don’t let them fly out randomly while having ideas of the same topic scattered throughout… whatever you wish to call this blob of words.
Sentences start with upper case letters.
Commas are not the same as periods.
A sentence must have a subject and a verb. The subject and verb must also agree.
The ability to choose button layout is more of a PC gamer’s thing. I think having different preset layouts puts everyone on even ground in their ability to choose. At the same time, each layout has its own advantages.
To be honest, I’ve never been a fan of the 4sk Battle Rifle. The only way to balance having a 4sk Battle Rifle would be to lower its rate of fire from what it currently is. This would make it very effective at mid-range though, which is where it should be most effective.
The BR’s recticle is very similar to what it was in Halo 2 and 3, so what are you getting at?
And I don’t even know how to start with CSR. I play so infrequently (because of work, college, taking care of my Dad) it rarely goes up, so it’s just a number to me. I know a lot of people are attached to it and want to show it off, but the only useful application I can see for it is matching you to players with a similar CSR in matchmaking. So, I’m not devastated that it isn’t in-game.
That’s all I have to say for now. Please, try to be more constructive. None of us are perfect, but it’s better to give ideas that will help make the game better than to attack it for what you don’t wish to accept.

did you forget the td part? do you even play throwdown? you would have caught what i was talking about.
pre-patch halo 2? what patch? there were a couple for differnt reasons? what are you refering to?
advantageous combinations? almost any computer game you can customize button layouts. and if anyone can do it there would not be an advantage… so i dont get your point.
dont complain about my wall of words. it is a rant, random thoughts as i think of them. it just goes to show how confused and frustrated 343 and their game halo 4 makes me.
Dude, first, ask your questions, then present a solution to them.
Second, paragraphs are important, as are spaces.
Third, don’t make your ‘wall of words’ as confusing as the question they state.
On topic: Weapon types change. BR 5 shot kill to 4 shot kill? Why not ask why the ammunition capacity for the AR changed from CE? Weapons change, i’m not going to use a World War II era sherman tank on a battlefield in Iraq.
I think you just missed some important classes for your native language…jesus is impossible to read
I am just curious OP… Did you think that 343i was going to read your rant?
please, break down the brick wall, then I’ll read it
> dont complain about my wall of words. Too late. it is a rant, random thoughts as i think of them. Rants don’t have to be this poorly executed. it just goes to show how confused and frustrated 343 and their game halo 4 makes me. No, it shows that you are either lazy or under-educated. Either way, if you don’t show any respect to the people you want to read this then what reason do they have to actually read it?
> They don’t give a crap about your horribly-typed rant. They will never read it. None of your ideas will be implemented.
No-one can read it, it hurts my eyes

explane to me how picking 1 of 7 or whatever button layouts is differnt than orginizing them yourself. and also, if everyone could do it then you would still be on even ground.
the brs reticle is similar but not the same. the large circle is more difficult to get a pin point shot with than the cross hairs from previous games. so what are you getting at? did you even play h2 or h3?
csr obviously doesnt effect you because you dont play halo for the same reason i do. i play it because i like the challenge. there is nothing like having your team of four take on the world. i dont have money to go to events but i sure can have some fun online.
be more constructive? it is a rant. besides most of the problems have fixes that go without saying. they just need to get done. how long will it take to make an h5 probably a couple of years. i dont want to be playing this broken multiplayer untill then. and dont say, well then go play halo 3 because the h3 support has been cut off so the game is super laggy.
