I love Halo, but this ranking system is crap. A 3 year old who plays non stop for 2 years can get to highest rank? Cmon 343!
If this ranking system is not reworked b4 launch i wont be playing ANYWHERE near as much as i played H2 and H3. I understand boosters are a problem but theres a bunch of ways to work around these losers who play halo for god knows how many hours to make what, 100$?!
First option; make it so only I can see my trueskill rank. I dont really care if others see my rank. I want something to fight for, not something to slave for.
Second option: keep the original ranking system but make it so every player has to play unranked for atleast 20 or more hours before they can enter ranked play. That should dissuade (spelling?) boosters. Just gimme some way to feel like im actually fighting for something worthy that I, a halo vet for 12 years , can feel crappy when i play like crap, and awesome when i play awesome.
I really feel like if 343 is gunna succeed through this next 3 whole games, that theyre gunna have to fix this current, stupid ranking system.
Please speak up if u agree that the current system is crap and doesnt make u feel compelled to play well
To be honest, no one really cares if you are going to play it or not. The real fact is you are going to buy the game regardless of it’s flaws because it is halo. For me I know that the campaign will be superb but the multiplayer (from playing experience) I’m not going to be too much of a fan of it.
We don’t even know the specifics of the new ranking system yet.
The ranking system you are talking about is simply a progression system. There’s also a separate skill-based ranking system that has yet to be announced, so just be patient.
The ranking system is based on what you do, not what you didn’t do.
Your talking about the progression system, which there is nothing wrong with. We don’t know what Halo 4’s skill based system is yet.

I want to hear about this skill based ranking system. I was hoping to get just the Progression system.
I just read that its gunna be the same horrible “play a million hours and become reclaimer” system. Google it.
And im talking about multiplay campaign boy, why would u click on this post if all u care sbout is campaign. And if i dont come back becuz i dont like multiplay then im not payin for maps, add ons and possibly H5 genius

Did you not read the other responses to your ridiculous thread? There is a SKILL-BASED system that is NOT THE SAME as the PROGRESSION SYSTEM. And no one cares if you’re not going to buy any other content just because of a stupid ranking system that it no way changes what really matters: The Gameplay!

I do believe the people you play with can have an impact on how the game is played.
How about you wait until we actually know how the ranking system works before you start complaining about it? We barely know anything about the ranking system yet, so there’s no reason to complain about it.

Why would you Google it when theres information about the ranking system on Halo Waypoint? We don’t even know what other ranking system there is. All we’ve seen is this SR ranking system, not the other one. Way to introduce yourself on the forums -_-
