So apparently The halo 5 style of weapon highlighting doesn’t ruin the skill gap between good players and bad players in arena modes.
The logic behind this stupidity is that weapon highlights are a part of the visor so they are good for competitive multiplayer! Wowwww!!!
These same ppl say that promethien vision should be in halo 5 arena multiplayer too because it’s “part of the visor” and that this makes players easy to see like how green outlines as bright as the moon make the weapons easy to see.
they say that this is good for the game!!!
And 343 listened to them.
This is is proof halo 5 is going to fail.
The beta was amazing!!!
I had no trouble seeing and finding placed & dropped weapons.
But it that’s probably because I’m not a lazy player and I pay close attention to my surroundings.

Why can’t they just use subtle highlights even? Like H2As weapon highlights system.
Just a tiny white icon that doesn’t stand out so much. So that of your lazy u will miss it and if ur not u will see it. Why do we need weapons to light up like the moon for all to see?
When I played the beta, I had no issue seeing weapons. Even in the dark. It’s pure laziness when ppl can’t see them.
The green highlights not only take away from the skill gap but they also make the game look cheap

I know I’ll get banned for this post. But I don’t care. Twelvies opinions don’t matter to me. I’m all about saving halo. WE the multiplayer crew are the ones that made halo big.
Not YOU little kids that rage at the skill level that the game takes to get good.
ANYONE who wants the visor to do all the work for them is just a tool !
the visor abilities should only exist in campaign and Warzone
not in arena.
Okay. How bout a word from a 27 year old Iraqi war vet who has been playing Halo 1 when it used to be nothing but lan parties.
Get off your high horse and get a life. If your raging about a video game because they made the weapons have “green highlights” so people are not stuck on one spit for 10 seconds looking for the shotgun you dropped because they killed you. Then big freaking deal.
The world is changing and moving on with out you. So adapt to it and use the changes to your advantage. And if the whole highlight system becomes a huge deal that it does truly effect ranked gameplay as you say it will for the Arena. Then they will make the system toggle able and turn it off for ranked matches.
So relax. And actually enjoy life for once and stop freaking out because “OMG thr guns glow green when someone drops them” Big deal.

May I ask a serious question to you OP, What about people with a slight colour blindness? What about those that have trouble differentiating colours in low light situations?
I am asking since I’ve needed glasses longer than not and to learn half way in that time that I have a genetic colour blindness. While it may seem over the top for some, it may help for others, and certainly if proper feedback is given on why it should be toned down or a toggle option, it would work better.
Calling me a liar about my war record. You were not there in the Streets of Mosul when your Sergeant had a Sniper round go through one leg and out the other right in front of you.
You were never there when some insurgents threw RKG-III anti tank grenades at your MRAP. As the one that hit your Squad Leader’s door injuring him and the other bounced off your window and didn’t go off.
Or Have 2 little 8 year old kids throw grenades at you while you were in the Gunner turret and have the Grenades explode in the air in front of you.
You never talked to someone the next morning and agreed to meet up the next day and that next morning survive a rocket attack and not have your best friend survive Pay close attention.
I’m the one on the right. See that Hero on the left. He was my Medic. He wasy best friend. He is dead. He was killed the next day. He asked me to take pictures of our patrol that day. I was to give him the pictures for his girlfriend who was curious about what he did in Iraq.
Then the rockets attack happend and a rocket hit his bunker was hit and he was blown apart in a dozen pieces and I had to carry his body, with tears down my face and his blood all over my Uniform.
I did not volunteer to serve this country. Survive the hardships of war, kill the enemies of this great country. Forever scared by the trials I endured by some little kid who only achievement in life is that he is “A pro” in a damn video game, can call me a 12 year little kid and a loser. You have lost your -Yoink!- mind kid.
You need to Step Away from the video games and Do Something in your Life. Learn a little respect for those who actually did something then sit on a couch and play halo and think your something.
