My company dropped the price of the game for today only to celebrate the DLC and to boost sales of the war games pass. Tomorrow it’s back to normal price

So is this a sign H4 is FAILING ? I HOPE NOT it had great reviews record breaking release sales and if you’ve played the multi player its just amazing unless ur just one of those people that hate change. Sure it fell slightly short profit wise in comparrison to H3 and REACH in the 1st week but it still did great. So my question is if this is just a temorary holiday thing or the new list price (i hope not) because hell 2 months ago both REACH and HALO CE where 40$ new and REACH is over 2yrs old. If 40$ is the permanent price for H4 then 343 is really selling itself and more importantly its FANs short in exchange for fair weather fans that’ll maybe play the game twice. Where as I and many of you who have been long term fans got stuck paying 60$ for something that is now a month later only worth 40. Not with all games but with HALO I always felt lik I was making an investment now i just feel screwed…if the price doesnt come back up after the season my HALO carrer may come to an end
hitman released later than halo, but at my local retailer it was discounted too. who cares?

well thanks for the info and it just says something about a game when the price drops a third within the first 30 days of its release date, however the more i read about it the more im convinced its just a holiday promo
Cod black ops 2 is 40 $ too now, So its not because halo is “bad”
Posted from a similar thread, can’t believe people can’t come to this conclusion on their own. Really speaks for the integrity of some parts of this community.

Publisher aka Microsoft, already broke even with Halo 4 and made quite a bit of profit and now it is time to make more profit by reducing excess units’ price. Then make more War Map Pass and DLCs. Works magic and people buy!
This has nothing to do bad game or something else. You may look into other games which will do bad and see reviews which are bad resulting early price cuts to increase revenue. For example Mass Effect 3 dropped in price quickly due to high amount of negative reviews and returns.

Why do you think mass effect 3 had so much negative reviews…
The ending sucks, They released a dlc on the launch day,
And i can go on an on and on.
Even people who are saying halo 4 is worst game ever haven’t played maas effect 3 yet
