Im not sure if the safety animation is in H4 but if it is its completly useless it sucked in reach the pistol is suppose to be a quickdraw weapon for quick headshots so if halo 4 is as fast paced as they say it is the moment i whip out my pistol i should be able to crack somebody in the face plus it was the only weapon that had a safety in reach just imagin having to switch off your safety for the DMR,BR,SNIPER, or the SHOTGUN or something like that it would be wack right so why is the pistol any different.
WAKE UP JOHN
I think I remember someone saying it draws a bit quicker in Halo 4.
Don’t quote me on it though

I remember them saying that a sidearm makes everything faster, melees, grenade throwing etc.

Then it would take an extra .1 second to draw my weapon. Big deal.
Not to mention, it’s usually only during the initial swap that the player performs a unique reload animation such as turning the safety on or turning on a covie weapon, or forming a promethean weapon. Just swap immediately after spawn and you should be set.
