anyone else having this issue where halo 4 issnt connecting to xbox live on the xbox one it asks for a profile to sign in i did and im somehow on local connection and not online the heck?
Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the game? I’m not sure why, but sometimes 360 games don’t connect to Live when playing them on a One. This happened for a couple of my games and reinstalling them solved the problem.

it works now but i’l try that if it happens again thats a wiered glitch to happen tough
So do you have your XB1 in power saver mode? Doing a full reboot or unplug vs the “sleep” method seems to help. Even when I’m on and have played several MM games, it’ll will at times say my NAT isn’t open and boot me at times. Then anything after tied to XBL is locked, stating I’m not connected. Weird.
Definitely super touchy. I played probably 15 matches last night after a true reboot… then MM booted me. Said I wasn’t connected, but I could still go to XB1 dash and access everything on XBL meaning the issue was on their end. Some tinkering & patience required.
@ pugwash1 , okay … so after some testing a few tips:
- You need a clean/cold game boot up. If you XB1 has the game started in the background and tries to do the quick boot from cache, youll likely hit XBL issues. My XB1 even tries this after a shutdown from power savings mode.
- Turn off XB1 power saving mode, do the full boot
- If XBL still giving you issues, boot another 360 game connected to XBL, then H4.
- Port forward as listed here. Seemed to help make MM smoother. I no longer get the NAT messages.

It’s still isn’t perfect. I hear ppl in the lobby from all over the world so that distance from host isn’t helping anything.
