H4 is costing people a lot of money

It’s the concept of opportunity cost. Instead of spending my time playing Halo(which is free) im out buying other games. This is costing me money.

I like video games. It’s my hobby. Im going to spend time playing them even if my favourite series is in the -Yoink-.

During HCE-H3 I probably spend about 90% of my gaming time playing Halo. Which left 10% of my gaming time to other games. Lets just say that came up to 2 game purchases a year. Not bad.

Now because Halo sucks, I spend about 10% of my time on Halo. Honestly there’s like 25 games sitting beside me that i’ve bought since Reach came out. That’s a lot of money. That’s a lot of money I never would have spent if Halo was still good.

So don’t sit there and tell me “oh w/e just go play something else if you don’t like it, it’s not a big deal.” No, going and playing something else is a big deal because games don’t grow on trees.

thinking about getting Far Cry 3

i think it would be pretty boring just owning one game even if it was the best game in the world.
People buy more games even if one game is fun.

and if your don’t like spending money on new games why don’t you just sell those 25 games that you’ve bought since the release of reach.

now i think people are looking for unnecessary thing to complain about.

I’d pick Tomb Raider over Far Cry 3 honestly,even though it’s shorter it offers you a awesome experience,kinda better than FC3,but hey that’s just my opinion!

I agree. I used to play Halo at every opportunity I could find. Now it seems like playing the game is more of a chore than a hobby.

I usually end up playing only a few matches before getting tired of it now.

Again, a VIGR system would do wonders. At least for me.

Because there isn’t ONE game you play, you must satisfy what ever gaming crave you have by playing multiple games?

I suggest being clear then in your writing then.

You introduce the cost of purchasing another game as a function of Halo 4’s supposed mediocrity.

You argument presupposes that this additional purchase is necessary.

It is not.

You CHOOSE to make that purchase.

So once again, I ask you to stop adopting a victim-mentality and stop blaming Halo 4 for everything under the sun.

Telling me that Halo 4 is not bad is one thing.

Telling me that Halo 4 is costing you more money is laughable.

We’re nailing on the head buddy. You don’t like Halo 4 and apparently no other game on the market. I own blops 2, bf3, halo 4 and a couple of offline games, not TWENTY-FIVE. You’re blaming 343 for your complete “lack of self-control.”

I got FC3. I don’t like playing it any more than CoD for the same reason - you get shot and you drop.

What sets Halo apart is the futuristic armor that makes it believable that you don’t drop on the first shot. The lengthy and engaging fire fights that follow are what make the game fun. No other FPS that I have seen comes close.

Also, FC3 has an issue where someone can flank spawn you and you never see it coming.

I bought FC3 only for the map editor, which is what Halo Forge should be like. It is by far more powerful, yet very easy to learn and use.

Halo 4 is collecting dust. I’m waiting for Destiny and the next gen consoles with new IPs.

Maybe he needs to start buying games with replay value. Halo 4 and Bioshock 2 are the only games I’ve needed to play for a month now.

Halo 4 is my main game (over xbox live) but i play Dead Space 3, Alan Wake and The Darkness II in the mean time :slight_smile: H4 is not like H3, but it still the -Yoink- when it comes to online MP!
