During playing reach, I’ve come to notice that Camo, and Holograms were COMPLETE failures with the ****ing name hanging above my head, sure you can change setting for it to be hidden but its just ridiculous, and will be a problem in H4 too most likely, so I’d like everyone’s idea on how to combat this.
Camo, looking anywhere in map see name pop up you’re screwed, but then again looking anywhere and seeing red name pop up kinda gives you away already.
Holograms, send one out and no name, no kill, other ways to spot but at distance mostly this.
In other words anyone have an idea if tags are shown DURING combat in H4 or if they improved camo? I an easily invisible sword kill my way to best in Reach but only in small maps, and crouching mostly
Nomadbro, just trying to get the advantage is all, but its a big issue I’ve come to live with, would be easier gameplay if tags didn’t show you on the field, and only showed tags in menu or after you killed someone/you died
I’ve never been able to spot anyone in camo via gamertag.

It’s gold deal with it. And I thought only teammates can only see your tag, and when you are getting hurt.

In Halo 4, holograms will be more believable since they show up on radar and have aim assist on them. You’d be surprised at how many people fall for hologram on Halo:Reach. Also, when fully cloaked in Halo: Reach, a red name does NOT show up. Only if that player is moving fast will a name appear.
