H4 Forge Idea : Defense Turrets

Forge gets better with each Halo game, or atleast between Halo 3 and Reach.
So, it makes sense that Halo 4’s Forge will be better than Reach’s Forge.
And it’s obvious that new features will be added to the new Forge.
So, here’s an interesting idea.
Defense turrets.

So, basically, it’s a turret you set in Forge.
This turret acts independently, attacking any enemy nearby.
But these turrets should have customizable settings.
These settings could include:

Team
The turret could either fight for a specific team, or attack anyone in sight.

Range

Damage

Armor
The higher the armor, the more damage the turret can take before being destroyed.

Accuracy

Degradation (toggle)
The more damage the turret takes, the less effective it is.

EMP Resistance
There are 3 modes, Full Resistance, Partial Resistance, and No Resistance.

Anti-Unit Preference
Similar to Halo Wars turrets, Anti-Infantry, Anti-Vehicle, Anti-Air, or None.

This is just an idea I had for Halo 4’s Forge.
It’d be pretty interesting imo.

Except you don’t have to be in a certain position.

No, that would be stupid if they shot at you while forging.

By AI, do you mean Holograms?
If so, than yes.

all i want in forge is my -Yoink!- weather effects…they were to be in reach but got cut do to time constraints :L

You mean like the ones that you activated to defend Hasly’s lab? (That would be nice) They should also be destructable in game so it is not overpowered.
