H4 Campaign/Multiplayer on 2 different discs!

It was confirmed earlier in a interview done by littleenglishhaloblog that Halo 4 Campaign is on one disc, while Multiplayer is on the second disc.

Here’s the interview:

Interviewer: Ok, so what’s on disc 2?

Frankie: [laughs] It’s not really a big secret, the only reason we’ve not talked about this is because until everything is locked in we can’t be 100% sure what’s on each disc. But as you probably guessed it will be a split between campaign and multi-player content.

Why can’t we have 2 disks than download one of them on the HDD so all we need is really one disk so I don’t have to switch them

> Why can’t we have 2 disks than download one of them on the HDD so all we need is really one disk so I don’t have to switch them

Because you don’t always get what you want in life.

Battlefield 3 had 2 discs, no problem. LA Noire had three discs, no problem there. Halo ODST had two discs, not a big deal.

It’s really not an inconvenience.

This is why the 360 should of had a Blu-ray drive. But honestly despite it being a slight pain in the yoink, I understand why it was done.

Hopefully there’s some kind of option to install one disk and launch the content from that disk through the other.

For instance, they should let you install the multiplayer disk and then allow you to launch multiplayer through the campaign disk, as if it was all in one disk.

That won’t happen.

That is a very ignorant statement, Forza 3 had two disks, the second disk was additional stuff to download to your HDD, once downloaded all you needed to play was the single disk.

So you don’t want it to be easier?

I don’t really care. It’s not easier or harder for me.

So you’re just choosing not to see the convenience of having all content playable via one disk?

Ignorance is bliss, I guess. I think its nice that I could get the Campaign challenges in Reach without getting up, ejecting my disk, replacing it with the Campaign one, and waiting for it to launch.

First world problems then?

it would be stupid to split them… and frankie being the misleading person he is, he did say that WE assumed it was multiplayer and campaign split. he never said it to be truth. i think it will be like H2 where the second disk is a bonus features dvd (making of, outtakes, etc) the reason they split odst campaign and multiplayer is because the multiplayer disc wasnt actually part of odst, it was part of H3, it simply had all the map packs, forge, custom games, and theater.

im just wondering is this a credible source?

Completely pointless comment. Yes, we have it better than third world countries, but they make it bad themselves. They’re the ones who run around shooting each other and abusing the women or firing blow darts at each other and take showers in cow piss. We don’t do that here. Why? Because we used to do that stuff and realized how stupid it was.

And even if you disagree with that, there’s no reason to dwell on it every second of every day. It’s an inconvenience to a lot of people.

doesn’t sound like bonus features to me.

I hate it when people pull that card. Accessing it all from one disk with a install is a good idea. It will reduce hasslr and I think it should be implemented.

> Why can’t we have 2 disks than download one of them on the HDD so all we need is really one disk so I don’t have to switch them

so you do not want more content because you don’t want to get up move a couple steps and switch discs?
facepalm

Excuse me if i lack of knowledge on this, but why is there so much excitement and talk about halo 4 coming on 2 disks?

> im just wondering is this a credible source?

Ya its a good source, its info is credible.

HL 1: THAT is the key point of his sentence. do you all really think that frankie would be THAT straight forward with us? seriously? am i the only one that caught this? he is making a point that everyone guessed it. but he never confirmed (nor denied)that it was to be true.
