H4 AND COD have NO relation.

These kids that complain about how Halo is being CODified are stupid.

I played call of duty, which i don’t own, I played at a buddies house.
I hate COD. I played it and Halo is NOT EVEN CLOSE TO ANYTHING like COD.

Your gonna tell me you can instantly respawn in slayer, and get ordinances and have a kill cam and its automatically CODified?

Last time I checked:

-I am not in Halo getting shot by a stupid missle from some camping noob that I have no chance to escape from while fighting.

  • I am not being Shot by a helicopter some camping noob sent out cause of his noob kill streak.

  • I am not being shot through walls.

  • I am not dying during a gun fight, that I started, that I had the advantage in.

  • I am not being knifed in 1.4 seconds while walking around a corner.

  • I am not starting with a sniper class, grenade launcher class, or a rocket class.

  • I am using my motion sensor to see people moving on it in Halo.

  • I didn’t prestige in halo 45 times.

  • I am not crawling on the ground.

  • I don’t throw flash grenades in halo.

  • I don’t die and have a grenade automatically fall out and kill you after you killed me.

  • In Halo I actually have teammates that are useful for winning a game, instead of COD where you pretty much have a team that you don’t need, to win the game.

  • In Halo I actually can fight, with a chance to create any outcome I want during a battle, weather it be running, using a vehicle, creating a class for a different tactic in a battle. I can run away if I am going to die, with knowing when I will die and come back to fight again and possibly have a chance to kill the other person.

In Halo I realize I am playing Halo.

Go home people who say Halo is close to COD, you’re drunk.

GG.

Saying “I hate COD” just shows how biased you are, so i didn’t even bother to read the rest of your post. They are very similar, get over it.

Yeah, we’re playing a Halo game, just a very broken one.

> Saying “I hate COD” just shows how biased you are, so i didn’t even bother to read the rest of your post. They are very similar, get over it.

Really I dont see them as very similar. I’ve never seen a super soldier armor wearing spartan running around in any of the COD games I have played. Must be newly implemented in BOII. Maybe COD has copied t3h halo?

BTW 99% of the features people claim halo copied, were implemented in other games long before COD had them.

I hate COD for a reason, its not like I haven’t played it and said I hate it. COD is a game for girls. They suck at games, so they need to play an easily suckish game.

Both games have the standard modern FPS features/trends.

There’s probably more that I’m forgetting.

> - I am not being Shot by a helicopter some camping noob sent out cause of his noob kill streak.

Nope. Instead it’s an incineration cannon or a 3 hit kill Lightrifle with damage boost.

> - I am not dying during a gun fight, that I started, that I had the advantage in.

You realize this happens more in Halo than it does in CoD because of killtimes and shields, right?

> - I am not being knifed in 1.4 seconds while walking around a corner.

Nope, just Boltshot in 1 second.

> - I am not starting with a sniper class, grenade launcher class, or a rocket class.

DMR, Plasma Grenades and Plasma Pistol. Not exactly the same, but similar in purpose.

> - I didn’t prestige in halo 45 times.

Nope, just 8 times.

> - I don’t die and have a grenade automatically fall out and kill you after you killed me.

Kill from the grave, :stuck_out_tongue:

> - In Halo I actually have teammates that are useful for winning a game, instead of COD where you pretty much have a team that you don’t need, to win the game.

I’ve never had this be the case in any public game, regardless of what game it is.

> - In Halo I actually can fight, with a chance to create any outcome I want during a battle, weather it be running, using a vehicle, creating a class for a different tactic in a battle. You realize this contradicts one of your points above, right? #2, to be specific.

> BTW 99% of the features people claim halo copied, were implemented in other games long before COD had them.

That’s not the point. It doesn’t matter WHAT game it is copying, what matters is the fact it IS copying.

I agree.

Counter arguments:

-When both Teams are equal, the game is more so determined by which team had the best powerweapons, the game is on a “coin flip” This isn’t like previous Halo’s because before you had to control map sections and win encounters to earn a power weapon. Ordnance creates the same things that Care packages do in Call of Duty. In CoD, if both teams are equal and I suddenly get a Swarm, I will win the game for my team just because I got lucky. The same applies if our team isn’t as good as theirs, I manage to get a swarm, I manage to brush aside their skills by being lucky. This is the same thing as a bad team getting all the good Power weapons in ordnance and brushing aside the good teams effort.

-Ordnance promotes camping much like kill streaks in CoD do.

-Instant respawns completely change the map flow into a more “randomised” style that alters the need for Map control.

-Lack of power weapons on pre set timers and spawn locations alters map flow completely and alters the need for map control.

-Perks mean that you can do something that someone else can’t just because they chose something different, this is the same as Call of Duty.

What you have to remember is that people will always complain about a game whether they do something right or wrong.

Previous halos were the same. They were determined by who had the best power weapons. The difference being now both teams have access to them instead of the one team getting them first and then camping the weapon location.

> -Ordnande promotes camping much like kill streaks in CoD do.

Map control promoted camping in all previous halos. Camping is part of FPS games, its to boring for my style but will always happen in FPS games and nothing can ever be done about it.

> -Instant respawns completely change the map flow into a more “randomised” style that alters the need for Map control.

Instant respawns really are not that big of a deal in team slayer. If you do not push into the base, then the spawn locations do not change. If you push into the base, then the spawns move. It’s not random at all. BTW, you complain about “camping” and then complain about not being able to “camp(map control)”

> -Lack of power weapons on pre set timers and spawn locations alters map flow completely and alters the need for map control.

Again, both teams now have access to power weapons. It is no longer a whoever gets the weapons and camps the weapon spawn point wins game.

> -Perks mean that you can do something that someone else can’t just because they chose something different, this is the same as Call of Duty.

Whooptie doo. Everyone has different play styles, perks give people an ability to play the way they want and not force everyone into the same game play style.

Lastly, COD did not invent, nor implement any of these things first.

The characters aren’t copied its the gameplay and style in which the game is played. And yes COD didn’t create a lot of the things that are used in the game but it was the first game to hit the mainstream using them. The same goes for halo, it was not the first to do a lot of things but it was the first to hit the mainstream. No game is an original, they just take bits and pieces from previous games and hope they work well together.

“It’s like CoD now”- A generic all-around hate term for people who can’t come up with anything else to say.

It’s also funny (and sad) when people say stuff like “I hate CoD so I hate Halo 4 too”. Halo is still Halo; the gameplay is the same as always: shields, jumping, strafing, vehicles, etc. is all there and little different. There are a few new mechanics that enhance that gameplay (which a couple people here don’t like, but that’s always the case), and that’s it.

> Actually I don’t see a similarity with sniper and DMR, nor any of those weapons. SO clearly you have no idea what you are talking about.
>
> PLasma grenades and plasma pistol really do assist me in stopping people who simply think they can control a map with just a vehicle.

You spawn with power weapons, and you spawn with a sniping weapon.

Plasma grenades are a one hit kill anywhere on the map and then can destroy vehicles with no forethought. People don’t spawn with vehicles, they shouldn’t spawn with vehicle counters either.

> Makes no sense lol.

I corrected myself. There are EIGHT specializations that you rank up through again to get a bonus. Doesn’t that sound familiar…

> Please. I didn’t even see my team in COD and I still did really good for only playing COD 23 times previously.

Never had this issue in Halo 3 either. Public games are always uncoordinated messes where a lone wolf can win, it’s not unique to CoD.

> It would be great help if you explained the contradiction, so I can fully clarify what I am saying, to help you better understand.

“In Halo, I kill people when I have the advantage, unlike CoD”

“In Halo, I have shields so I can run away and approach the conflict a different way later”

Blatantly contradictory.
