[H3] Why are Isolation spawns so broken?

It’s either you spawn nowhere near your team or you win a teamfight and the enemy spawns with a clear line of sight when you’re no shield and you die to 1 shot. Or you spawn on top of a grenade top mid when your team is getting shot and instantly die. Or you spawn near red/blue base while a rocket or grenade is hitting your teammate right next to it, with 2 enemies with line of sight.

It’s ridiculous, the spawns are 1 of 2 options: instantly die or be nowhere near your team.

Seriously is there a reason 343 decided to break Isolation spawns more than any other map? Can we please remove it from matchmaking if it’s gonna stay broken? I doubt anything will change since for some godforsaken reason they decided to keep Heretic in 4v4 this season again, and that map has 1 spawn option: spawn on a grenade.

Longshore, guardian, construct, narrows are all in the same boat. I made a post about this too but it gets largely ignored… along with other problems like hit reg for the halo 3 sandbox. The region server errors that pop up all the time, even when in matches.

343 insists on throwing weapon skins and armor into the game… what we really want is fixed spawns and hit reg.

I feel like the servers are only gonna get worse once CGB is out.
My theory is that since we are on dedicated servers it somehow messes up the spawn logic.

The spawns on every map seem off to be honest. I’ve had players spawn right in front of me and vice versa.

Spawns are completely broken no doubt. This extends to Halo 2 and Reach as well. Your teammate’s position seems to take priority over everything else. This was not the case in the OG games (except for CE).

I agree, I wish 343 would at least address the issues that H3 has, I also feel that matchmaking has gotten more lag spikes every since they added the option for server selection not to mention like you said the annoying server region error even though I’m already on default.

I wouldn’t mind a month of 343’s time taken away from seasons to fix at least one or two issues that directly impact multiplayer rather than that time being spent on cosmetics (that have also started bugs in their introduction)

Yeah good luck with that mate. I know Postums and the others read these threads and would REALLY appreciate at least some type of response because it is sad how unfair, not fun and overall stressful the matchmaking environment is.

Spawns are messed up in all playlists, even in Hardcore at times. FFA is literally a gamble game right now. Get the right spawns and you win. You kill someone in front of you, they’ll spawn right next to you and clean you up. It was never like that back in OG. Sure there were stupid spawns here and there but never like it is now in MCC.
And the fact that I know at the start of each game where I am going to spawn is a bit of a joke.

FFA Spawns:
Citadel - I spawn Top Mid every time in the corner right next to Red Teams’ overshield.
Guardian - Spawn Green near the lift
Narrows - Either Top or Red stage
Blackout - Bottom Red
Pit - Either Red or Blue Courtyard.

You could argue that I might connect a bit late to the server (since I have to play on US servers just to find FFA matches) but it shouldn’t be like that. Once everyone connected, the spawns should be random for everyone.

I agree the spawns should be random for everyone especially ffa, spawns are impacted in the other Halo’s as well from my experience as of late with non objective gametypes, even in BtB for Halo reach for the timberland remake. The spawns are pretty off lately with what you said about having an enemy spawn right beside or behind you happening more often than it should even in team based gametypes
