It kind of reminds me of what Blizzard is doing with WoW Classic. Once they’d finished the Vanilla game, successive ‘expansions’ are easier and quicker to do.
I like to think the same principle applies to Halo on PC. A lot of initial work goes into the menu system. Maybe successive titles will be easier because some of the legwork is done already?

I hope so but with the work being split between 3 (publicly known) studios 343 may need time to finalize the cooperative effort into a functioning title.
