There’s at least 15 maps that could be used for Doubles, why does it get changed to Hardcore and get limited to 4 on repeat… MCC should have such a vast range of maps even on other game types many maps are heavily repeated. While we are here why is there a ranked HCE Doubles playlist and not a ranked H2a Playlist. So many things just dont make sense with the amount of content that should be on offer with MCC.

Easy: Popularity. Halo 3 is the most populated game amongst all the Halo’s. They could make a Ranked Doubles, Slayer, etc for each halo, and odds are you would never find games. If you look at the Steam charts, MCC is averaging 3,000 players a day in the last 30 days. Game died once Infinite came out.

So you think HCE is more popular than H2a? Regardless the main point of my post is why we are getting limited to such few maps when their should be so many on offer. Not the same 4 over and over, just kept it to normal H3 Doubles at least there is more variety in the maps that are selected.
CE team doubles has a long history and is CE at it’s best. It is largely considered the best team doubles in the entire franchise and is very unique in contrast to other team doubles. If I had to guess CE team doubles probably has a larger population than Halo 3 team doubles despite Halo 3 being the most popular game on MCC because CE team doubles has a community around it because of it’s great game play.
Also there should be a ranked mode for each Halo game.
I don’t really play Halo 3 team doubles so I am hesitant to say what they should do. My understanding is that the playlist was first added for practice a while ago when the Microsoft Store was hosting Halo 3 team doubles tournamens hence it’s limitations. I’m not positive on that.
I would say idk enough about it to definitively say, but I think I agree with you that there should be more maps. I’m not sure if it should be vanilla settings as that is widely available on MCC. I know a lotta people who say mlg settings are the best so it does have it’s fans so that makes me inclined to say it should stay with the same settings.
The point of H3 hardcore doubles is basically MLG settings but 2v2 instead of 4v4. I mean the maps are the MLG forge maps and the settings are also MLG like no radar, BR only starts, 110% damage (which actually allows you to one-shot kill someone with the mauler if you are right in their face), and probably more that I don’t know. Plus I guess they did it because there are many people who like MLG settings. Plus at least with H3 Team Doubles, you can always search it in social while, H3 Hardcore Doubles you can’t unless you get 3 more people to play MLG 2v2 Halo 3 in a custom game. But yeah I can see you wanting to play normal doubles in ranked because who doesn’t like to get a cool rank for a playlist they like.
