Gotta love it. Just installed the game, went to set up my controls and immediately find that mouse wheel input does not work correctly in H2C. It requires several clicks to get any input to register. I use scroll up for melee and scroll down for reload in every single game I play. Does 343 even play their own product? Beyond frustrated with the poor quality 343 continually puts out. I originally bought MCC for console back in 2014 and vowed to never spend another dime on 343 after that debacle, yet here I am, giving them more money for the same broken game. And now I’m also reading that the hit registration doesn’t even work correctly in H2C. Microsoft needs to fire everyone at 343 and start from scratch. What a sad attempt to screw their fanbase out of more money.
EDIT: Going to use autohotkey to remap it because it’s my only option at this point. Hope I don’t get banned!

They work in H2C MP? Middle click works fine for me, but scrolling does not. I have to scroll multiple times to make it work, and even then, it sometimes does not. All other games (both in and out of MCC) work fine. Just not H2C.

Yeah works just fine for me across the board. If you are only experiencing this is in one game that’s surely weird, but you should play around with your mouse settings in Windows.
**Windows Key > type “Mouse Settings” > then check it all out.**If you care, my settings are - “multiple lines at a time” & the amount is set at, “3” w/ “scroll inactive windows when I hover - ON”.

I have a fresh Windows install from about a week ago and my settings match yours. I tried setting my scroll up and down binds to yours, and it worked perfectly. I can switch weapons with one click. But when I set scroll up to melee and scroll down to reload, I have problems. Are you able to set yours the same and see if you have the same problem?

I made an autohotkey script to remap the buttons and it works perfect… will I get banned?
I would love to just be able to scroll up AND down to switch weapon 
I think i encountered the same issue, except for me it’s caused by duel wielding. I can use the mouse wheel up when i start the mission to switch weapons, but as soon as I dual wield the change weapon input on mouse wheel breaks and i’m stuck holding two weapons. Here’s my workaround for my particular issue.
- If i get stuck holding two weapons, I just switch the weapon change binding to a key like shift or 2, and you’ll be able to drop the dual wield weapon and switch back and forth, then switch it back to mouse wheel and it will work as normal. only down side of this seems to be that I can’t dual wield anything without my button breaking
I haven’t really done that much testing with it so i don’t know if it’s something else causing it? No clue man, but i know that’s what works for me right now and I’m able to use the mouse wheel like i wanted. Do what you will with this info friend.
