H2A > Halo 5

Still a lot of bullet magnetism and a big hitbox but…

As a Halo it’s still better than Halo 5 right ?

We’ll remember that 343i only made a good multiplayer for Halo with Halo 2 Anniversary.

Just stop everything on Halo 5, and give us the free maps DLC for H2A !!!

I agree. It’s a shame because I REALLY want to like Halo 5, I do, but there’s so little positive I can really say about the game.

Halo 2 Anniversary was so messed up that they had to cancel the championship tournament for it because the network was so buggy. Do you want to play on a buggy laggy network with no dedicated servers?

I really wished they had decided to just make H2A. Matchmaking wouldn’t have been a giant mess in playlists, and it would’ve gotten a lot more love.

I disagree. Halo 2 is bland and slow compared to Halo 5. No sprinting, no boost dodging, no climbing up ledges, a dual wielding mechanic that makes any non dual wielded weapon except BR suck. Super slow moving spartans walking around in circles shooting their BRs at each other. No thanks.

Oh my…

I did like the Assault Rifle sounds.

You wanna talk about bland? How about the fact that Halo 5 feels like every other shooter out there, because of those very same features you’re praising the game for. Seriously, Halo used to feel unique. Now? It has conformed to the “modern shooter” standard that makes me yawn at just the thought.

More options, more depth to the gameplay, more things to learn and master. It does not bother me if Halo borrows some mechanics from other games if it improves the experience. One only needs to play Black Ops 3 for five minutes to be able to see that Halo plays very differently.

Lol it’s not slow and bland. It’s different. That’s all.

i think it was the game as a whole, not just h2a that had the problems. the master chief collection was so messed up they had to cancel the tournament. halo 2 anniversary was always the game that played the best at launch, and once the MCC was fixed the h2a played perfectly in my experience ( i played a LOT of h2a).

h2a BTB maps were FAR superior to halo 5, especially in graphics (obviously). I expected that level of map interaction and graphics that i saw in h2a, and i have been very dissapointed by halo 5. it was supposed to be one of the best looking games on the xbox one and i haven’t been very impressed at all by the graphics at any part of the game. h2a at least looked really impressive from top to bottom. yes the campaign was messed up, but it was awesome you could switch between h2c and h2a graphics in the campaign.

my point is that the collection of 5 halos in one game was broken, not halo 2 anniversary itself. this posters claims of the network being buggy is definitely correct in a way, 343 said they had dedicated servers for the MCC but it never seemed to be the case. halo 2 anniversary was great, and i played a lot of it. I’ve had almost as much problems with halo 5 (getting disconnected, parties not working, gameplay crashing, lag, buggy play) as i ever did with h2a.

at least halo 2 anniversary had split screen. that is one category that h2a is definitely better.

Halo 5’s bullet magnetism (especially with the sniper) is just plain dumb. It is for 2yr olds. Sort of like having promethean weapon projectiles now follow people (and the Hydra). Furthermore, H2A had better visuals and both are 60fps. How is it that Halo 5 barely looks better than Halo 4? Sure 60fps but geez is the X1 that weak? Same pop-in textures, same paper-looking grass, same bland/smooth textures. Reach has better damaged armor textures by far. Pretty sad.

I prefer Halo 5, although I love playing H2C just for the button combos. Hopefully Halo 5 gets some game modes so Forge will be a lot more useful.

That’s not fair. H2A was made by Certain Affinity. Don’t give 343 credit for that.

I have a very nice video for you to watch. More options does not add depth.

I actually REALLY liked H2A apart from the bullet magnetism. Other than that it was great. The issues were game wide, not specific to H2A sooo.

i preferred halo 3 over halo 2 but my biggest complaint with the newer halo games is the armor abilities i do not like them even a little bitis good i do like sprint but armor abilities ruined it for me

Halo 2 Anniversary is pretty bland though. It’s basically just Halo 2, with a bit of the skill removed, with less than half the maps and a few new weapons.

I agree (except for H3 over H2) :stuck_out_tongue:

Yet those mechanics did not improve the experience. Quite the contrary. Halo 5 is completely unenjoyable.
